Sarah's POV
I slowly open my eyes, the rays of sunshine coming through the sheer window curtains, gleaming onto my complexion. I felt sore, the side of my forehead still aching in slight pain. Did those pills not work or something?
It was then I started to remember everything which took place from the church, to Casey's house, to the restaurant we typically go to.
" You're awake " A voice startles me as I lay in bed, a hospital bed, the plain white bedsheets surrounding me, making me sit up in shock.
" Calm down, crazy pants " I look over to see the waiter chuckling. He looked quite cute as he looked at me, his dimples sticking out.
" Crazy pants and here I thought that I was bad at nicknames " I remove the bed sheets from my lap and sit right next to him. He then grabbed my hand, holding it into his large palm.
" I was worried about you " His deep voice spoke with a serious tone. I couldn't help but smile as those words left his lips. I just met him, and here we are admiring each other's features as our eyes couldn't leave each other's.
" Sarah! You're finally awake! " The boy immediately releases my hand as I pull away. Casey came running through the room with a smile on her face.
" Yeah I'm alive " I chuckle and hug her, mentally slapping myself at the joke I just said. Casey let go of me and looked at me with a weird expression on her face as I pulled a really bad fake smile.
" It's ok " She engulfed me back into her hug, as if she read my mind and knew that I was about to apologize.
" That boy stayed here with you for the entire day, and he left to go to the hospital even when his boss told him to stay and work. I think he really likes you " Casey whispers through my ear and I pull back, a blush creeping onto my face.
I looked over Casey's shoulders to see the waiter sitting down, fumbling with his fingers.
" Well, looks like our patient is doing fine " A doctor walked inside the room, his name tag reading Dr. Malik. A woman was following behind him, they both seemed like a happy couple as she pecked Dr. Malik's cheek before walking off.
" That's just my nurse, Amanda, also my fiancé " He explains as he sat on his spinning chair. He came forward to take a look at me, shining a bright flashlight onto my face.
" Well, your pupils seems to be fine. Whatever you took didn't seem to damage any of your normal functions. I think it's safe to say that was just a knock out pill, a bad one " He pulled the flashlight away and started to write down something on his clipboard.
" You'll be able to leave the hospital in a couple minutes, but your friend Victoria, is still unconscious " He stood up and walked out of the room, leaving the two of us questioning the health of our best friend.
" How's Liam taking all of this? " I ask Casey who looked down on the floor, there was a small silence.
" Not too well. He's been sitting by her side for hours now. He wouldn't even eat anything, not until Victoria's conscious is back " She spoke to me with a worried expression on her face.
" You guys can't hang out with me anymore " Casey then spoke in one burst, almost tearing up. I looked at her in confusion.
" First my parents end up, gone, and now my best friends are also in trouble, it's all because of me " She tries to walk out the room but I hold onto her wrist.
" Remember our motto, we're all in this together, high school musical style " I chuckle. She just remains silent before walking off, probably to go see Victoria. I remained there, standing. Casey shouldn't have to deal with any of this, none of us should.
" So what now? " I turn around to see the boy looking at me. In all honesty, I don't know what I should do now. But maybe giving Casey some space would be the best idea.
" I, um, didn't catch your name " I stand in front him, flinging my bag onto my shoulder.
" Harry, Harry Styles and you are - " He smiles.
" Sarah, Sarah Rose " I return a small smile back. He stood up, his hands inside his jean pockets.
" Well, miss Rose, would you want to spend some time together in the future? " I don't know what to say. I like him, a lot. But right now isn't the best time to be having fun.
" In the future, yes, but right now I have to sort some things out " I mumble a little before finding the right words to say.
" I'll wait " He looked down at me, a smile stretched onto his face, before walking out the door.

I was in the comfort of my own house. It was late at night and I decided that maybe watching a little Netflix could take my mind off some things, like that fact that one of my best friends is in the hospital.
Not even Netflix is good enough to take my mind off something that serious.
Changing into my pajamas, I lie down on my bed, my dark red blanket covering my body as I attempted to huddle all the warmth at once. Slowly closing my eyes, I manage to fall asleep.
" What do you want? " I scream at the figure in front of me, his eyes were bright red and shining through the darkness as he held on to Victoria.
" What does it look like I want? You have one minute to answer " His voice echoed through the room, a blade shining through the darkness, hovering over Victoria's neck.
" I don't know! " I scream, tugging at my hair in frustration. His red eyes looked as if they were now glowing, a sinister smile on his face making shivers go down my spine.
" Death " He growled, slashing the blade through her neck. It was like the color, red, was illuminating through the darkness. The sound of her blood dripping onto the floor, sounded like water droplets slowly falling out of a faucet.
Her body fell to the ground with a loud thud. My shrieks were now filling the cold building with grief, remorse, and fear.
" One by one, everyone, will be gone, including you " The figure started to come towards me, but at the moment I didn't care, I was preparing myself for death.
" No! " I scream, shocked and panting, in my room. I'm not ready for death, it was just a bad dream.
I rub my eyes, the only source of light coming through my room was from the moonlight shining through my window. I get up, pacing myself in the darkness of my room. It was then something caught my eye.
My large window was open, and I don't remembering opening it today since I wasn't home. I remember the window being shut, closed and tight, before I went to sleep.
I walked towards the large window, looking outside. There was no one there and I'm guessing there wouldn't be anyone in my front lawn at three am in the morning, especially since it's raining.
I turn around to see my reflection on my large body-frame mirror leaning against the wall. My complexion looked very tired and my hair was in a messy bun. But my focus wasn't on me anymore, it was on the note attached to the frame of my mirror.
I pulled the note off of my mirror, the tape making a noise as it came off the frame. Slowly opening it, I read it to myself, not wanting any of my family members to hear anything.
" How well do you know your best friends? Are you sure that Casey isn't the murderer? It hasn't been that long since the parents, who she loved, were murdered. And she's recovering so fast, a little too fast is you ask me. She might have not directly slaughtered her parents, but there are other people who she could have asked to do it.
Just a thought xoxo "
