Rya at seven.

I sat on the couch admiring the lovely family picture that was seated on one of the shelf. It shined to me amongst all the endless books and many things on the shelf.

I took the doll that was by my side, dressed in all pink and smiled at her. "See Samantha, I'll have a beautiful family just like mine" I giggled at her, truly happy.

My Dad suddenly burst in tearing me from my fantasy and to his outburst. He was yelling at the person on the other side of the phone. I seriously won't want to be that person, when my Dad got mad he was like the hulk himself.

My Mom came out right behind him trying to calm him down as he got off the phone. "She's looking for us, Mya" my Dad shouted. His voice boomed throughout the whole house Making me shake.

My Dad is a 6'9 inches tall man, with sand brown hair and warm green eyes, but when he got mad like now, he pulled his hair in annoyance therefore disarranging it.

He towered over my Mom by far, who was at 5'3  with curly almost red hair and brown eyes. She was equally getting mad, at his outburst and the situation at hand.

I didn't know what was going on, but I hated that it got both my parents rattled.

"What, what is going on?" I asked with my doll like voice

They didn't act like I was in the room, they didn't even acknowledge my question and continued arguing.

"She won't find us Martin. We're in a different realm, it'll be difficult for her to figure out that we're here" my Mom said

And immediately after her words they both turned their eyes to my exasperated self.

"It's alright darling. You're okay, we're okay. It's all going to be okay" my dad said soothingly caressing my long red hair.

I believed his words but deep down I didn't, it was the way his voice shook and the look of uncertainty in his voice and the weak reassuring look my Mom gave me.

The next day, I confirmed all was not good and that our lives would actually change.

We lived in a normal estate, with normal people, but I knew I and my parents were far from that.

My Dad could lift a car, no I've seen him carry our car when it broke down one night when we were coming back from the movies and sped in super speed with I and my mom in the car back home.

My Mom, she could will her body to move freely in air, in simple words she could fly and control water too.

My parents were super man and super woman to me.

They told me only special people like them had dual powers because they were part of the first league of super heroes.

I didn't tell anyone though, not because I was told not to but because I knew no one would believe me.

It's always been me and my two super parents...

The next morning started up like any other morning though, we would have breakfast, my mom would clean the house, I would help out and exactly at 10am I would go play with my doll till 11 when my tuitor would come because I was home schooled.

But that didn't happen, yeah we ate breakfast and I helped my mom clean around in the kitchen but as I was about to go play by Dad came from his study and stopped me.

"It's time to stop playing with dolls like a little helpless girl, Rya" he said

"Martin, don't talk to her like that" my mom scolded

"C'mon Mya, it's time she learns being what we are is a lot more than tea parties with plastic and rubber made dolls" my Dad rolled his eyes "it's time for her to learn" my Dad said

"No," my Mom shook her head "no, she's too young. Martin she's 7" my Mom chastised

I just stood there staring at my pale palms

"She is, right, but, she need to know how to defend not just her self but other people... You know what is coming Mya and you know it's very inevitable"

There was a long stretch of silence before my Mom nodded "just the basis for now, and I swear if you do oth-"

"I get it Mya, you'll rip my balls off and I won't get any" my Dad recited

"Good" my Mom she said before walking away leaving I and my Dad

I smiled up at him "now Rya, how would you like to be just like your Mom and I, even better?" My dad asked and my face brightened with enthusiasm

"You mean fight like the both of you?" I asked and he nodded "Very much, I'll like that very much" I chirped

"Good, but we need to change your clothes"

I looked down at the pink flowery dress I was wearing and I nodded.

"Excellent"

My Dad dressed me in shorts and a t-shirt and then packed my hair in a ponytail.

He took me to the basement of our house, a gym was set up there, and in the  middle, there was a boxing ring, a fridge to the far right corner, weapons all around the room in shelves, wardrobes, and on some tables.

"So, are you ready?" My Dad asked and I nodded with a grin.

I've always wanted this, to be a part of this. To know how to fight and punish the bad people.

He carried me up inside the ring and I balanced myself in it after a few seconds.

"Okay, now we'll start with the basis, just spoke simple exercises today then tomorrow we'll do a little bit of exercise and more of preparatory boxing" my Dad said and that's exactly what happened and what we did.

By the next day I was looking forward to what would happen next and sat in front of my Dad's study, dressed, till he came to get me.

And for the rest of the three months to complete the year, that's what we did. Simple boxing.

He'll hit me sometimes sending me to the floor but then he'll pick me up and say I need to learn to stand firm because one day he won't be there to get me back on my feet.

And that's how it all started...
