Kae’lynn Rodriguez

I’ve been here in Atlanta for four months, and I’m three months pregnant. Yes, Jacob knows because he’s the baby’s daddy. He wants me to come back to Los Angeles but I’m here helping my aunt.

‘’Honey, how is you and the baby?’’ She asked.

‘’We’re ok, I wish Jacob was here.’’ I said.

‘’I am.’’ I heard someone say. I turned to see Jacob. I gasped, then ran over to him. I hugged onto him tightly, crying. ‘’Baby, I missed you so much.’’ He said, pecking my lips.

‘’Aunt Keke, this is Jacob my baby’s father and my boyfriend.’’ I introduced. She smiled, giving him a family-like hug. ‘’What are you doing here?’’ I asked.

‘’I knew that you were gonna be back in time to deliver in Los Angeles so I came here.’’ He said. I smiled, pecking his lips. ‘’How is my babies?’’ He asked.

 ‘’We’re good.’’ I said, smiling.

‘’Kae, I’ll be at the shop. You can come when you want.’’ She said, walking out of the house. I sat down, rubbing my belly.

‘’Are you going to be here, when I give birth?’’ I asked. He nodded, sitting down beside me. He rubbed on my belly, smiling.

‘’What are some names you want for our boy or girl?’’ He asked.

‘’Maybe Jessica, or Justin. I don’t know.’’ I said, getting up. ‘’Baby, I’ve gotta go. The kitchen is over there, here’s the remotes and call me if you need anything.’’ I said, sliding on my shoes. I grabbed my phone and keys then pecked his cheek. ‘’I’ll be home by four.’’ I said, walking out of the room. Ever since I’ve got pregnant, my aunt has me just calculating the sales from the online boutique.

I got into my aunt’s black Escalade. I put the key into the ignition, pulling off. I turned up the radio. I’m pregnant, Jacob needs to do a baby room and we need a house. I pulled up to the boutique. I got out, walking inside. The A/C hit me like a truck.

 ‘’Hey Kae.’’ Caroline greeted.

‘Hi Caroline.’’ I said, walking back to my office. I sat down, logging onto the computer system. I logged onto our email and website. My aunt walked back in.

‘’How many orders do we need to ship out?’’ She asked.

‘’Twenty six, I can help.’’ I said.

‘’Honey, you need to relax. Just monitor the website and relax.’’ She said, walking out of my office. I sat there, bored out of my mind. I rubbed on my belly. Man, I need my baby Jacob here. I stood up, walking out of my office to my aunt.

‘’Aunty, I’m tired. Can I go home?’’ I asked, holding my belly.

‘’Yes because I don’t want my grand niece or nephew to be in any type of stress.’’ She said, pecking my cheek. I walked out of the boutique, to the car. I got in, putting the key into the ignition. I pulled off, thinking of how this is going change our lives.

Jacob is going to have to have some responsibility. I know how it is with a child. I helped Michael with his daughter. I know the ropes. I pulled up to the house, getting out. I walked into the house, to see Jacob watching TV.

‘’Aren’t you suppose to be at work?’’ He asked.

‘’Yeah, but I’m feeling tired.’’ I said, laying down beside him. He pecked my forehead, then wrapped his arm around my waist.

‘’Aww, is my baby working my baby out?’’ He asked. I smiled, putting my head on his chest. I closed my eyes, letting the sound of Jacob’s heartbeat sooth me.

Jacob ‘’Princeton’’ Perez

I looked down to see Kae asleep. I know she was a light sleeper, so I stayed still. I can’t believe she’s pregnant. I wanted to go back to Los Angeles and get us a house and the baby’s room need to be done. I know she’ll be sad but it’ll be all good when we get in Los Angeles.

I got up, walking into the kitchen. I logged onto Kae’s Macbook, then went looking at houses. We both want like four kids, so I want us a good house in a good neighborhood. There was a few possibles. I’ll be here for a month, then I’ll fly back to Los Angeles, look at houses with Nala, then I’ll be back here when she is ready to give labor.

I know I’ll miss doctor’s appointments, but I want my babies to have a good life. I logged off, then walked back into the living room. Kae was still sleep. I sat down, grabbing my phone. I had a missed text from Chresanto. I unlocked my phone, reading it.

‘’Mane, I had to hear through Nala that Kae’lynn was pregnant. Nigga, why didn’t you tell anybody.’’ The text read. I smiled to myself. I always told Roc that I would make him the goddad of my children, vice versa for me.

’’Cuz’ I don’t know. I’mma need yo’ help. I’m going to buy a house and I need you help with the baby’s room. I’ll be back in LA in a month. You helpin’ or naw?’’ I texted back.

Roc and I have maintain our friendship after all these years. That’s my bro for life. You know it’s bros before hoes. But that rule was bent because Kae is a beautiful, intelligent young woman. I’m glad she’s in my life.
