Chapter 13: A Petal Journey

At the late George's veterinary, this evening after George's funeral... Clarissa completed 7 more treatments of the owners' pets, Clarissa is still mourning over George. After she finished working and turns the sign into closed. 

"Clarissa, I want you to be a good girl. Your parents loved you so much, we love you. You have to stay with your team, you have to." said George's words inside Clarissa's mind. "I'll try thinking about it, Uncle George." said Clarissa.

Kendra finds the mourning Clarissa inside the veterinary, she went to the veterinary to check on her. "Hey." said Kendra. "Hi." said Clarissa, sadly. "Your aunt just wanted to know if you're OK now." said Kendra. "Is she worried about me?" asked Clarissa. "She is, still." said Kendra. "I can't believe that crazy businessman orders someone to assassinate my uncle, I'm going to get him." said Clarissa. "I know, you're upset about this. But the team looking for a killer." said Kendra. "Are you sure they're looking for him or her?" asked Clarissa. "Yep. And I'm very sorry for your loss, he was a good uncle. I understand your pain, your emotions, and your innocence." said Kendra. "You do?" said Clarissa. "Yeah, I cared for you."  said Kendra as she holds Clarissa's hands.

Kendra gives Clarissa a hug, Clarissa is stunned, but hugs back.

After that, Clarissa and Kendra went to the flower garden where Clarissa had went when she was a little girl.

"Is this where you went when you was young?" asked Kendra. "Yeah." said Clarissa. Clarissa and Kendra explored around the flower garden. Clarissa looked at the blue roses, while Kendra is viewing the tulips. It is Kendra's first time visiting the flower garden.

Clarissa discovered a magical, glowing fountain of the white lotuses. Clarissa sees the lotuses floating in the fountain, she looks at the white lotus that she collected, holds it in her hands, and bows her head.

"I wish my parents will be here, my family and I were worried about them. I hope they be alright, safe and sound. I have so many letters from them, but they haven't return. I will always remember them and I'm always think about them. I hope they will return sooner or later." said Clarissa, wishing upon the white lotus.

Clarissa places the lotus on the fountain, it floats along with the other white lotuses in the fountain. 

"Hey Clarissa, I found a cottage over there." said Kendra as she came back to tell Clarissa.

Kendra and Clarissa went to the cottage that Kendra just saw, Clarissa found a cottage on the bench, and then unlocked the door, and they got in. They look around, Clarissa discovers a blue tulip.

"Someone left this beautiful, blue tulip." said Clarissa as she picks the tulip up and placed it inside her bag. "There's gotta something in this cottage, the cottage looks so beautiful though." said Kendra. 

Clarissa discovers the basement, she discovers the other key and she unlocks the basement with it. Kendra follows Clarissa to the basement, they discovered a mysterious small box in the basement. Clarissa picks it up and opens the box, the box is full of white rose petals.

"Rose petals." said Clarissa. 

"Look, there's a note sticking out inside one of the books in the bookshelf." said Kendra as she pulls out one of the books that has a note in it.

Kendra takes out the note and opens it up. "It says: When the flowers grow in the sunlight, they bloom in their good, safe places. Roses are the best, the tulips are better. Every flower on Earth blooms everywhere, they never die. It is scientifically a miracle, the flowers are made of beauty and joy. They make people adore them, they were happy. Butterflies roam around the flowers in the spring and summer, they find happiness of their own nature. A quote written by Annabelle Carmichael, in the 1966." Said Kendra.

"I wonder who's Annabelle Carmichael?" said Clarissa. "She's my great grandmother." said the 20-year old woman. "Who said that?" asked Kendra. "I'm Nettie Carmichael." said Nettie. "So, Annabelle Carmichael is your great-grandmother?" said Clarissa. "Yep, my great-grandmother write quotes about flowers and roses since she was 18. She is like a mother nature to the flowers and insects. She loves all seasons on Earth: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. She loves the outdoors so much, the wind blew in her face, and the sun shines on her face. My mother teaches horticulture, she loves plants as well. But my businessman cousin, he doesn't love flowers and insects. He wanted them to be destroyed." said Nettie. "So, that's gonna be... Fernando." said Clarissa. "Yep, that's him all right." said Nettie. "He didn't tell us that he didn't like flowers." said Kendra. "I know, he's been thinking about burning them a lot of times because they made him sneeze and their beauty irritates him. I hope he don't burn them, if he do, he's planning to build his other company. He is the boss to everyone, he controls them, abuses them (including his ex-fiancee), and manipulates them. He never apologize, he always don't. He acts like he's a monster to them, he had no respect for girls (including me). I hated him, I hated his violent behavior." said Nettie. "Oh my god." said Kendra. "I know, right? I stole his diary last week. He had written his dark secrets and plans every each year." said Nettie.

Nettie gives Clarissa her cousin Fernando's diary. "Thanks, Nettie. We'll take a look at it later." said Clarissa. "OK, that will be fine." said Nettie.
