Yesterday had been a crazy day for Mike, but he enjoyed it nonetheless. In fact, he probably enjoyed it more than he was supposed to.

Chester had gone out and scared the shit out of him, but he was fine in the end and they had had a great time together. Mike sensed that this was the start of what he had wanted. He was gonna get through to Chester and he was determined to get as close as Ryan was to the blonde.

He wanted to help him more than anything and the boy wouldn't leave his head until it was Monday again and he was on his way to his house.

"Thank you, Mike." He couldn't get those words out of his head. They played through his brain on repeat and he needed to ask Chester why he had thanked him.

He had just gotten to the blonde man's door, when he heard voices inside and frowned. Chester never had any guests in his apartment... Maybe it was work related? The half Asian raised his hand to knock on the door when his whole body froze and he recognized the voice speaking to Chester.

Ryan... followed by the sound of Chester's laughter.

Mike's heart skipped a beat as he tried to not let this affect him. Of course, Chester had a new friend. Well, more like an old one, it didn't change anything to the fact that the half Asian was finally getting closer to the other man. His relation with Ryan wouldn't come in the way of their new friendship...

Mike cleared his throat before he finally knocked on the door as he noticed that everything got quiet inside. The door opened slowly and the delivery man couldn't help but smile when he saw Chester's eyes look at him.

"Hey, Ches." He leaned to the side to try and see better in the young man's apartment, but Ryan was out of sight. "I heard voices, you're alright in there?"

"Y-Yeah! I'm alright, it's Ryan. He came in just a few minutes ago." Chester said and at the same time Ryan appeared, with his usual grin, behind him.

"Oh, hey Ryan, how are you?" Mike said with a small smile but he felt jealousy deep inside. He wanted to stay with Chester but he couldn't, and while he couldn't, Ryan would take his place.

"Hey, I'm okay. Glad you took care of Ches yesterday." He smiled thankful and Mike was taken aback. He didn't expect that Chester would tell him.

"Yeah, it was the least I could do. Chester was in need of some help so of course I was gonna help. He's special to me." He blurted out and closed his eyes as he blushed when he realized that. Chester had a deep crimson color across his cheeks either. "I-it's time for your meds. Here." He handed the paper cup to the blonde, trying to change subjects.

"Thanks." Chester took the pill and handed the money to Mike quickly. "See you tomorrow?"

"Actually, I wanted to ask you something... about yesterday. Can we talk privately?" Mike said and his cheeks were still blushing madly. Ryan squinted his eyes and jealousy flashed over his features for less than a second, but Mike still caught it.

"Sure." Chester said after thinking a bit and nodded at Ryan before going out of his apartment and closing the door. "What is it?"

"Well..." Mike took his backpack off before he unzipped the bigger part and got a book out. "It's the book I showed you yesterday, you left it at my place, and I... I'd like to lend it to you, if you want."

Chester's eyes illuminated as he smiled and took the book off of the half Asian's hand. "Thank you, Mike. I really want to read it."

Mike's heart squeezed as he saw how genuine the other man seemed and he nodded. "You can keep it as long as you need. Also... I wanted to ask you something."
