Jason stood near the fountain, looking around at the confusing tangle of battle. Screams and battles cries could be heard over the hard pounds of objects hitting other objects. He didn't know what to do. Suddenly, Piper was yelling to him. "LOOK OUT, JASON!" She screamed. Jason turned just in time to see the most beautiful thing flying through the air straight at him.
*cue dreamy music and pink love filters*
Time seemed to slow down. The wonderful red hunk of brick was the perfect size, wonderfully shaped in a rectangular prism. The shade of red was perfect, not too vibrant, not too dull. There were no obvious cracks or holes on the surface, which was a relief. Jason hated those fake holes bricks made trying to look "curvier". But the surface wasn't perfect either. There were small chips and scratches, reminding Jason of the wonderful reality that the brick goes through hardships just the same as Jason. They could help each other out. He gazed at the flying projectile with a dreamy look, thankful that the brick decided to fly at his head. A feeling wormed its way into Jason's heart. He hadn't experienced this emotion before. Was it longing? Like? Lust? No, another 'L' word. And then it hit him.
Literally.
The brick smacked into Jason's forehead, making him drop to the ground, a smile still plastered on his face. The force of the hit made him go out cold. He dreamed of the brick, the life they could have. Getting married, living together, having little paint chips of their own, watching them grow up, dying together in peace....
Jason was thoroughly in love with the brick.
Piper's POV
I looked around, trying to find Jason. After a minute of searching, I saw him at the fountain. I was about to call his name when I saw someone throw a brick at his face. "LOOK OUT, JASON!" I yelled to him. He turned and saw the brick. A weird look crossed his face like he was mesmerized by something, or he had to poop really bad. His eyes were transfixed on the brick that was flying at his face. What is he doing? I thought to myself. Then, as I was about to yell at him again, the brick smacked into his forehead, making him drop to the ground unconscious.
I ran over to him, worried that maybe he had been seriously damaged. Kneeling down, I touched the rapidly growing bruise above his eyebrow. Jason mumbled something incoherent as I disturbed him. "What?" I asked.
"I... Love... Brick" he said, a stupid smile on his still "sleeping" face. I rolled my eyes. Nevermind, I thought, he was already messed up to begin with.
