Time was running out.
Fast.
Forgetting all about her fears, Paige ran down to the beach, dived into the water and entered the secret kingdom where she suspected the crown was. She swam through the shining silver gates and went around the left side of the reef hoping she wouldn't encounter that horrible beast again.
She relaxed when she saw a cave coming into view but stopped in her tracks when she heard a huge squawk that sounded like it was headed her way. Paige ducked down behind what at first sight looked like brightly coloured coral but soon many small yet sharp fangs bit her and left marks all over her body.
A shadow fell over her head showering her in darkness, she looked up afraid to find another unhappy sea creature. This one was much different to the last as it had no resemblance to anything she'd ever seen before.
She swam away too afraid to do anything else.
