Even though Steven and I just started going out I have been writing letters for him for when I die so that he can remember me. I couldn't stop but count down the days for our Hawaii trip. My mom helped me pack the day before with Everything I would need. When we got to the airport I saw Kailey and the others there.

"Oh my goodness" what are you doing here?"
  "Steven invited us."

Everyday Steven just kept getting better. I fell asleep on Steven's shoulder on the plane ride there. We stayed in the Alani resort on Oahu. The boys went surfing and me and Kailey just hung out at the luau. At around dusk, Steven wheeled me on the beach, and was telling me his first time at Hawaii. I always feel like falling asleep to the sound of Steven's voice. I couldn't believe how well he's improved with the way he feels around people now. When it came for dinner time we went down to the best restaurant in the Hotel. We went back up to the hotel. I shared a room with Kailey and the boys all shared a room. Sam came along with Kailey, Anthony, Mark, Cameron, and Thomas. We all went down to the gift shop that day to buy some gifts to take back to Chicago. Steven was talking to Anthony very quietly. I couldn't quite hear what he was saying. Kailey started talking to me.

"So are you going to tell him?"

I looked back to Steven and felt a guilt in my stomach of the thought of telling him. I told her I would tell him when we go back home so I wouldn't ruin his time at Hawaii.

It came the day for us to go back home. My mom was waiting at the airport for me holding up a sign with my name on it. I started crying because I missed her really bad. Steven came over to help me unpack. I told him to sit down on my bed .I sighed really loud. "Steven, The reason why I'm in this wheel chair is because." I sighed again, and paused for a while.

"I broke my legs, and they may never heal."

He understood and he took me out of the Wheelchair and held me close. I went to bed early that night due to the jetlag. I heard my mom come into my room. I squinted my eyes and she took my laptop out. I just assumed she wanted it to check her rewards on it. I quietly wheeled myself to the door way of my mom's room. I saw her live chatting with my dad. She was telling him that I have cancer and that it has paralyzed me from the waist down. I quietly wheeled back to my room. About an hour later my mom came back with my laptop, and kissed me on the forehead. I slept in later than usual, but my mom knew that I needed it. Steven called in about 10:00 to talk to me about something. I texted him to meet me down at the park. He came down with a box with holes in it.

"Hi." I just kept staring at the box until Steven opened it. There was a puppy inside.

"This is for you."

I took the puppy and put it on my lap. When I thanked Steven he gave me a kiss on the cheek. I played with my new dog all day that day. I called him Snickers because he had black and caramel colors on him. Kailey came by and heard that Steven got me a new dog. Everybody was acting strange when I saw them. Steven was talking with Sam about something but I wasn't sure what it was about. My mom told me that I had another doctor's appointment for a checkup to see if any new tumors formed since I last saw them.

It was the day of the doctor's appointment, and I was scared to death. The important thing is that there was no tumor growth. I was so relieved. My mom and I went to church that Sunday, and I was baptized. When I got back up from the water, it felt like the cancer was relived from my body. When I got home Steven was waiting for me outside my house with his backpack. He asked if I wanted to go on a picnic with him that afternoon. We went down to the pier and sat at the picnic tables. I brought Snickers with me so he wouldn't be alone because my mom was out running errands. It was such a beautiful day until it started raining. Steven and I hurried into the gift shop for some cover. Steven held the umbrella over both of us as he wheeled me home. We started laughing hysterically.
