After hours of what seemed like endless discussions, Harleyn was finally permitted to return to her dorm. But to her absolute surprise and horror, as she nears the entrance, she sees her things being thrown out.
However, it wasn't that which shocked her the most it was who was throwing her things. "'Mione, Ginny, what are you doing?!" She races to them and immediately grabs her clothes from the dirty floor.
Hermione turns to her and glares. "You're not welcome here anymore, Potter!" She shouts, throwing the last of Harleyn's things at her.
Harleyn flinched as she was hit the thrown object. "What do you mean?" She questions her, why were they doing this to her now of all times?
But instead of answering, Ginny stomps to her and shoves her school books into her arms. "She said you're not welcome here, so leave Potter! Don't you ever come near us ever again!" She screeched before entering the portrait with Hermione and slamming it close behind her.
Shocked, Harleyn sank to the ground and took a shaky breath to calm herself down. Why was his happening to her? Why was she paying the price for something she didn't even do? And how-how could her friends do this to her?
Her thoughts ran wild as she struggled to secure her belongings in her trunk. Once everything was kept away, she stands up and walks away. She may not be the brightest of her year but she knew better than to force her way inside. So she leaves, dragging her luggage through the dark hallways and away from the Gryffindor Tower.
Walking though the dark hallways, she couldn't help but think back to the events that happened this day: Being forced to compete in a deadly competition even when she didn't enter it in the first place, being kicked out of her dorm and maybe even losing her friends.
This was almost too much to take for her to take, Harleyn sniffs, wiping away her tears. She knew that she had no time to cry about this but still shouldn't help it and after losing so much in so little time, could you really blame her?
She bites her lips as she tries to muffle her sobs, how could they do this to her? Didn't their three years of friendship mean anything to them? With those thoughts running wild in her mind, the dam inside of her finally broke down.
She sinks down to the cold floor, wrapping her arms tightly around herself to find some sort of comfort. After what is seemed like hours to her, her sobs slowly came to a stop as she unwillingly feel to sleep.
Meanwhile only a few meters away from her, a certain blond wizard was walking back to the Slytherin Dungeon. It was Draco Malfoy, who looked fairly annoyed as he walked through the dark hallways with only his wand as a source of light.
He sighed to himself, he knew he should have done this earlier but no, the bloody Gryffindors needed to take up all the damned space in the Owlery. Suddenly the sound of soft sobbing pulled him out of his thoughts.
'It must be another puff going though a break up, seriously do they never learn' He rolls his eyes at that thought, what was with Hufflepuff doing and crying in public places? This was the third time this week.
At least that was what he though until he saw a red tie on the ground not far from where he was, Draco tightens his hold on his wand. So this was a Gryffindor, this was bad hopefully there weren't too many of them for him to handle.
With a spell on the tip of his tongue Draco inched forward until he saw a figure of girl curled on her side with a trunk not far from her. Curious on what she was doing there, he steps closer to her and leans down to see who she was.
It was Potter.
Draco frowns, what was she doing here and why did she have her luggage with her? He shook his head, he could ask her that later for now he needed to wake her up. "Potter, hey Potter"
With no response, he decides to shake her in attempt to wake her up. "Wake up, Potter"
With still no response, Draco sighed. "I can't believe I'm doing this" He puts an arm beneath her legs and another behind her back and lifts her up. A flick of his wand and her things were lifted up in the air.
With Potter in his arms and her things secured, he continued his way to the Slytherin Dungeons. It was dark in the Dungeons at night and dangerous as the lights in the Dungeons were always put out five minutes after curfew to discouraged any Slytherin from leaving the Slytherin Dorms.
Not that they needed to do that, the threat of Gryffindors ambushing you outside was enough to keep any Slytherin from leaving alone. After a while, Draco stopped in front of a portrait with Potion Master painted on it. "Merlin"
The man in the painting looks curiously at the sleeping girl but nevertheless allows them in. Draco continues inside, mindful of the girl in his arms and her luggage as he continues inside, ignoring his curious stares.
He descends downwards to the deepest floor of the Dungeons, passing multiple rooms until he reaches his. The last door of the corridor and the largest dorm in the Dungeons. He mumbles his password and the door unlocks.
Draco locks the door behind him and carefully places her on his bed beneath the sheets. Casting another spell to lower her luggage, he yawns, placing his wand on the nightstand and moving to continue his nightly routine.
After a well deserved hot shower, Draco pulls on his nightwear and leaves his bathroom. Then he sighs, his eyes once again landing on the Gryffindor on his bed. What was she doing there? And where were her friends? Leaving her out there to freeze to death, traitorous bastards.
What kind of person abandons their friend just because of a tournament?
He lets out another sigh as he lays down on the opposite side of her, even if Potter was his enemy even she didn't deserve that. If only Harleyn chose him instead of that bloody Weasley, he would have treated her better.
He reaches over for his wand and closes the light, but maybe this was his chance. Maybe she'll finally accept his offer to be friends, hopefully. Draco thinks to himself as he finally closed his eyes, setting his mind rest.
