Sometimes, Harley wished she could have just kept her mouth shut. She could have avoided multiple beatings and trouble if she did that but no, she was just too curious to do that. This was one of those times and this time, she blamed her tiredness for the lack of restraint her mouth had.
"Draco, where are you taking me?" Harley whines out, she was tired, okay? It wasn't her fault if she whines, she's been walking for hours for Merlin's sake. "I'm tired and my feet ache" Wasn't she supposed to be resting?
Draco stopped in his tracks and gives her a look that just screamed 'are you serious?'. "If I carry you will you stop whining?"
Harley furrows her brows and scoffs, "Carry me, no offense, Draco, but are you sure you can carry me?" She didn't mean for it to sound like a challenge but she was tired and thinking back, it probably did in Draco's ears.
Without saying another word, Draco scoops her up from the ground and carries on, ignoring her loud squeak. "You're lighter than you think you are, Harley and besides this isn't the first time I carried you, now quit whining"
Harley crossed her arms, an adorable pout making its way to her lips. "Whatever" She waits a moment, then another before asking. "Are we there yet?"
Draco rolls his eyes, "You'll know it once we're close, not quiet down"
"But when?" Harley whines again, this time the Slytherin doesn't bother to rise up to her whining and keeps quiet. So naturally she whines even louder, "Draco"
Again, no answer.
Finally, she's had enough. "Dang it, Draco, where-" She hears a loud roar and instantly, she quiet down, looking up to Draco for answers. "We're here"
Draco pulls her down behind a bush and pushes it slightly aside to reveal four caged dragons in a clearing. Harley's jaw drops, she inches forward as she couldn't believe her eyes. "Dragons? What are they doing here?"
"The First Task"
Harley pales, "Dragons?!" She screeches out which would have been loud enough to get the attention the wizards in the clearing. But luckily for them as Harley screeched, a dragon roars out just in time to cover it.
"Quiet down will you" Draco hissed, putting his hand over her mouth. "They might hear us"
Harley turns sheepish, rubbing the back of her neck. "Sorry" She whispers out once Draco was sure no one had heard them. "But how the heck am I suppose to deal with them? I don't know a thing about dragons"
"That's what I'm here for, I know lots of things about dragons" Draco assures her in almost a bosting tone. She giggles and asks in a teasing manner. "Really now? What kind of dragons are those then?"
Draco, recognizing her teasing tone, decides to humor her and begins to name the dragons one by one. He points to the green scaled dragon, "That is the Welsh Green," The silvery blue scaled dragon, "The Swedish Short-Snout," The red and gold scaled dragon, "The Chinse Fireball and finally" He points to the last dragon that had dark as night scales. "The Hungarian Horntail, I can tell you more about these dragons back at Hogwarts but for now, we need to go"
"Already? We just got here and I'm tired" The Gryffindor whines, and puffs her cheeks out like a little child, only to accidentally lean back into a puddle. She panics and grabs on to Draco to stabilize herself. "On the second thought-"
Draco snickers at her antics and shakes his head fondly, "Come on" He leads her back to Hogwarts with a smile on his lips. About halfway through, he offers to carry her once again and she happily accepts, this time without any protesting. "You make a good porter, you know that?"
