I've been staying at Jesses for a while now. The past few weeks in particular has faded in to a blur. Simply working at the cafe, coming home and sleeping. That's it. Jesse has barely been around lately - "working".

It's bonfire night and my first of many in this new place I call home. My plan is to head to the beach this evening and see if I can watch some fireworks from there , I'd love to have Jesse with me but I know he's got work to do. So I get going by myself. Chucking on some black ripped jeans, a loose band shirt and my leather jacket.

Once at the beach I plop myself down on the sand. Watching as multiple different colours light up the sky and bring light to the darkness.

An hour or so later I realise there isn't much more for me to do. I have had a few drinks and saw the fireworks. I know I know , no alcohol on the beach but I cleaned it all up so I don't see a problem.

I head up the road on my way home, bangs echoing off buildings as colour after colour sprays across the sky. "You wanna watch it" I hear a voice shout. I creep to the corner of a building , peeking in to the alley in between. Bang! Bang! Yet everything seemed to darken. A mans body fell to the floor , another man stood over him with a gun in hand. What made it worse was Jesse stood next to him, staring down at the body with no care to show.

Panic rushes through me. I hold my hand against my mouth, holding back any noise. Tears stream down my face as I realise I'm a witness to a murder. I turn and sprint, running towards the home. It's once I get inside I realise that I'm living with someone who may be a killer.

I run to the bathroom , showering in burning hot water , hoping it will burn away the memories of what I just saw.
