Jordan parked the Trone's car in a spot far away from the hospital in the last row. The hospital parking lot was packed and almost filled. People were running everywhere. Jordan and Faith got on both sides of Rita and helped her walk inside. James, Brandon and I carried Ryan in as Grey helped us with the car doors. We went into the hospital and gasped. The waiting room was filled and many people were forced to stand up. Nurses and doctors hustled around trying to help the people in the waiting room. Nurse Liz stopped by Rita and said, "How long ago did her water break?" Faith and Jordan looked at each other before,
"Um, about twenty minutes ago!" Faith said. Dr. Fox came by and took Ryan from Brandon, James, and my hands. "Wait!" Rita yelled in pain, "I want Jordan and Faith with me!" Jordan and Faith left with Rita and Nurse Liz. Nurse Morgan stopped by a couple minutes later and said, "If you guys could wait outside that would ease the process and lighten the herd a little." We exited the doors and sat down on a nearby bench. I spotted Claire, a single mom, helping her teenage kid Grant in the hospital. "What happened?" Brandon asked. "He was skateboarding on the bridge near the border of Virginia Beach and Norfolk when then the glass came down and he fell off his skateboard and broke his thumb." Claire nervously said as she continued inside. We sat outside in silence and waited for Jordan, Faith, Rita, or Ryan. "Hey look there's Katy. Who is she carrying?" James said. Grey stood up yelled. "What's wrong with Rod!" He screamed. "I don't know I just have to get him to the doctors." Katy replied exhausted. "It's packed in there though!" I shouted to Katy. Our trio watched more people enter the hospital, but the people leaving the hospital didn't balance out. Nurse Morgan stepped outside and looked around the parking lot. "You guys were the group that brought Ryan here, right?" She said. We all nodded. "Does he have a child or wife I could deliver the news to?" The nurse asked us. "He has a wife in the hospital," Brandon said, "who's giving birth as we speak. Why? Is he okay?" Nurse Morgan only shook her head. "We tried everything but his wound was untreated for too long and he lost too much blood." she said. I nodded and looked away at the ground. The nurse left us to head back into the commotion. I spotted Jordan and Faith walking out of the hospital. "Rita just gave birth to a beautiful girl, her name is Kimberly. She told us that we could go home, she's gonna be in there for a little while." We all stood up, walked over to the car, and piled into the Tucson. "Can we visit the beach?" Faith asked. Jordan started the car and began to drive away, but then a teenager jumped in front of the car. The teenager came up to my window. "Can I hitch a ride?" He asked. It was Grant with his splint on his thumb. "Sure hop in." I said. Grant said thanks and then hopped in next to Brandon and Faith. "Wow that was short." James said to Grant. "Yeah I know right! There was a doctor who just wrapped it and then told me to beat it." Jordan drove out of the hospital parking lot and we began our way to the Oceanfront, again. "Mom's dead." Faith cried out to Brandon. Everyone's mouth gaped open, especially Brandon. "When Jordan and I were bringing Rita to the hospital I saw her name on a deceased list." Faith said as a tear escaped from the corner of her eye. For the next ten minutes nobody spoke, so I thought it was time to break the ice. I looked out the window and saw the glass in the distance. "Why do you guys," All of the sudden I was interrupted by Grant. "STOP!" He yelled. He began scooting in his seat, signaling he wanted to get out. I looked around to try and see what made him yell. To the right of the car was a ditch followed by a field and to the left was a road then a forest. "Grant I'm in the middle of the road why are we stopped." Jordan said. "Park the car in the ditch, I have to show you guys something. Grant jumped out of the car, checked the road, and then ran across the street. Brandon followed him , then Faith, James, me, Grey, and lastly Jordan. Sure, let's just believe this completely new guy we just met to lead us through a dark, mysterious forest. We began strolling through the forest. "Does anyone notice how peaceful it is in here. There aren't any bird noises, cricket chirps, or flies swarming us." Jordan said. I nodded my head in agreement and saw the glass in the distance through the trees. We arrived at the glass and Grant began walking toe to toe with his foot right up against the barrier . "One, two, three, four, five," and he continued all the way until fifteen until he exclaimed, "Here we are."
"We're just at the glass! Nothing special!" Grey said. "No look!" Grant exclaimed pointing at something. "There's a crack in the glass." Grant said sarcastically. I squatted down and looked where his finger was pointing. The crack was very thin, like a pasta noodle, but almost as long as a grown man's middle finger. Everyone took turns looking at the crack, "I don't think we tell anyone?" Faith asked. "FREEZE! GET ON THE GROUND!" Someone yelled. I quickly got on the ground and put my hands above my head. Officer Chris and Leo stood with guns pointed at us. "We saw your car in the ditch. What aren't you guys gonna tell anyone?" Officer Chris demanded. "Yeah!" Officer Leo said following his companion. "We weren't gonna tell people... About... Um..." Jordan began. She then went over to Officer Chris and whispered something. He nodded his head and then said, "Sorry for the disturbance. Just doing our job since the two of us and Officer Mary are the only police officers under this box." They both walked away from us and it felt like a ten pound weight being lifted off my stomach. "What did you tell them?" I asked. Jordan looked at me and mouthed, "Grey's parents." I nodded and thought about little Grey. Why the heck would the government, or terrorist, or anyone do this to us. So many were already dead. "Can we get to the beach?" Faith asked. "Sure. But I call shotgun!" James shouted. We made our way through the forest, but when I looked at Jordan. Sweat was pouring down her forehead. "You okay?" I asked my sister. "Yeah I'm fine." She answered. We all piled in the Tucson, again. Jordan drove out of the ditch, "We're gonna take the back roads again." Jordan said. I sat in the back with Grey as we talked about his favorite video games. Jordan took a hard turn around Devils Bends and everyone in the car swerved. "CECILIA!" I heard someone shout. My ears perked up since Cecilia was my mom, my dead mom. All of the sudden I felt the car swerve to the right and into the ditch. The Trone's Tucson flipped in the air and we landed on the fields, upside down. Everyone in the car was upside down and either unconscious or too hurt to move. Blood had started trickling out of Grey's mouth, so I undid his seatbelt. He fell to the top, now the bottom, of the car unconscious. I was too busy with Grey to realize that I had blood on my face and a huge bruise. I fumbled around my seatbelt and clicked it. I crumbled to the ground. I looked around and saw Brandon was already on the ground. Before I passed out I was barely able to whisper one word, "Jordan."

Outside:

"What's the situation?"
"She's still in transport, estimated time of arrival is in about a week."
"Is there any way to speed up the movement? She need's to get inside and find The Chosen before "they" do."
"I can try but that would greatly increase the chance of a fatality."
"Do anything you need, just get the girl inside the dome!"
