alex's felt his heart race as he stood in line for the nightclub, flipping through his wallet to make sure he had his ID on hand. he stood there for maybe three more minutes until he knew he was next, the card ready to be shown to the large-and-in-charge man.

"flash it at me?" the bouncer said in more of a question. alex smiled warmly and held it out for him. the man saw that he was born in nineteen ninety nine, and removed the velvet rope so he could get into the place.

"'ave fun in there." he saw him off. alex simply nodded his way in the door so he didn't have to avoid any awkward small talk.

he was sat at the bar, socializing with a fan. and he never usually pursued conversation with people much if they were fans, but she was really out of his league really, so he felt like if he passed this opportunity up he may not get someone so pretty again.

"can i get you a drink?" she asked alex, smiling sincerely. her long, curly red-dyed hair went past her breasts, and he very much liked the way she carried herself. she was kind of edgy, but still maintained that area of class.

"no, i'm the man 'ere. i might as well be askin' you that. so...?" he said back. he didn't want to establish this foundation of a gesture by letting the girl buy him a drink. he felt like a gentlemen should be the one to do that. he wished he was the first to bring that idea up.

"oh, yeah-sure. i'll have what you're having."

he looked up at the bartender who had his back to them, preparing a drink for what he assumed was someone else's at the time.

"oi, mate-" alex shouted at the guy, "two gin and tonics, on the rocks."

the bartender turned around, and already had one ready. he gave it to the new lady friend beside of him, and alex tilted his head in confusion.

how did he know what he wanted-

the bartender just simply huffed and went to preparing alex's drink now. alex remembered that he came here quite often, so it made sense that the guy had probably memorized what he got over time.

the two had one more drink and now that alex was tipsy, he couldn't stop suggesting and hinting that they should go back to his flat.

"you know, m'flat is just like three minutes away. we can walk there together, if you wanted."

"oh, for real? i didn't know you were the type for..." she tried to trail off, but alex laughed at that.

"the type for what? one night stands?"

"yeah, that-" her face blushed hard at that, looking away in embarrassment. and alex himself would have been embarrassed, too, had it not been for the alcohol blocking that area of his brain.

"i'm sorry if i don't strike you as the type...but i mean, i am a man. but i also am not looking for a relationship. i've just been out of one for a short time now so i don't want to hop into anything-"

"i totally understand. sure. there's no way i'm going to say no to someone like you, alex." she winked, and he felt his head spin in excitement. he sighed but turned it into a laughter and pulled her by her arm to the back door of the place.
