Lucas watched his only son run around in the party hall with his friends. He was happy seeing the innocence on his child face, but at the same time he was curious about the the book his son was carrying in his hand. "Dad what's in Ben's hand? He doesn't seem to leave it with the other gift."

The senior Whitemore replied "A beautiful women met him in the hallway when he was running around and gifted him that. I heard her saying something about Mother. "

Lucas again gave a grim expression "Not here please and definitely not now. "

"Lucas, you have to understand he is going to question it at some point and you know how persistent he is. It's time for you to consider it seriously. I know you'll bring the world to him but he needs a mother, the more you delay the more he gets curious. Why do you think he was hiding today? The only surprise he'll ever want is his mother. And I think the woman who gifted him the diary would be a strong contender in your long list of suitors." Mark Whitemore commented to lighten up his son's mood.

"You know my condition and I will not settle for anything less for him. I know he wants a mother but I am not ready to compromise with anyone. Till the time he finds one I am happy to play both roles. Besides you just want me to settle so you can spend Sunday's with Mom without our interference, old man" Lucas just winked and walked towards his son.

The evening wrapped up and after exchanging all the goodbye's Lucas and Benson finally came home. As both were getting ready for Lucas asked his 4 year old son who "Ben, I want to you ask you something and will you answer me honestly sweetheart?". Ben just nodded.

"Why did you run away today without telling me bud? Was something wrong at the party?"

A bit hesitant to talk his son replied in soft voice, "I am sorry Daddy, it wouldn't happen again." and kissed Lucas's cheeks. "Look what Aria gave me, a diary she said I could write letters to Mommy till she comes to meet us."

Lucas knew his son was very good at changing topics but he was also very naive to spill the beans.

"Bud, you can write her letters but Mommy will take time to meet us till then can you put up with Daddy?"

"Of course Daddy, I love you and I know Mommy will love you too. But I really want to meet her soon you know drop me to school, play ludo with me and Uncle A, and sometimes sleep with us on the bed. Carl sleeps everyday between his mommy and daddy." The 4 year old replied hugging his dad.

Lucas kissed on his forehead "Very soon buddy, but promise me you won't run away again without telling me. I am sure Mommy is going to love you more then me."

"Promise dad, now can you pass me a pencil from the table I have to write my first letter to her. " he replied sheepishly giving him the most cute expression.

Lucas just gave him the pencil and tickled his son until his laughter echoed in the house.

He kissed his sleeping child, with just one prayer for his birthday, 'We'll find her soon, someone who'll take care of both of us. A little less for would be fine though. ' smiled at this thought and went to bed.
