Author's pov:Walk.
Walk.
Again.
Walk.
"fate did us dirty, didn't it?", jimin sighed pulling the suitcase behind him. Katherine didn't let out anything just kept mentally cursing at herself and felt bad for jimin to make him go through all this. After all, he didn't deserve any of this.
"but is it only me or if this place really does look less deserted than before?" he mumbled loud enough with crescent shaped frowning wrinkles obvious on his forehead.
"ofcourse. We have been walking for more than 30 minutes now" she replied, walking beside him with a weight of guilt on her shoulders.
"oh, I actually didn't expect you to pay attention to me but you even replied, wow!" he let out a chuckle looking at her oh so weary face. Katherine looked at him for a second and blinked her eyes once, twice and thrice and then turned her head away, pressing her lips in a line.
There was complete silence for a while. But then jimin stopped at his steps, making her do the same. She looked at him with questionable eyes, "are you okay? How are you feeling now?" but then after his own question, he felt stupid and let out a humourless laugh. "I am such a dumbass, ain't I?" he then crouched down a little, resting his stands on his knees and bent down a little to see her lowered down face.
"it must have been hard for you. You were already not feeling well and then again I made you walk so much in this heat"
"why are you trying to act like it's your fault when we both know whose fault it actually was", her voice was low yet stern. "why are you trying to act like it was your fault that we missed the bus?" he widened out his eyes and just stared at her face for a while.
"unm, no. Its not your fault... I guess. Only if it wasn't for that monster-", he was cut off by a peck on his cheek. He froze. Right in the moment, right at his steps. His body stiffened at literally a quick peck on cheek when they've had an intense moment already but this - this was something else.
"thankyou" she said looking straight on his face and, slowly a smile creeping upto her lips. So soft.
He was flustered. Park jimin, the boy who used to dance and drink all night in the clubs among girls who threw themselves onto him and tied to push him upstairs towards the rooms yet he still remained unbothered. Their revealing skin barely had any impact on him. But that Park Jimin found himself so flustered, when a girl whom he met not so long ago, kissed him on his cheek and smiled at him.
"f-for, ahm, for what?", he coughed while shaking his head to dust away the red colour that got sprinkled on his face.
"for everything", he stood still, surprised. "if it wasn't for you I must have been dead by now" said the girl as she walked ahead of him to cross the road to sit on the rock laying unnoticed there. He made an 'o' shape with his lips and followed behind her.
"but you know what you just did there was so inappropriate and unacceptable?" he said while sitting beside her.
"hnm? What?", she just stared at him with her calm yet chaotic eyes.
"that... You just kisse-"
"oh, this?", she again leaned in to peck his cheek and did so. He forgot to close his mouth for a while.
"this is so... So not acceptable" he stared at her face, "why are you being like this? By any chance, are you possessed? Or did you get any head injury?", he let out a dramatic yell,"you are creeping me out" he pretended to get a heart attack. She chuckled. And for the next few seconds, he just stared at her laughing face. Oh so pure!
