I was at school today, chilling in choir class like I do and I was talking to this guy. He is kind of a goofball and totally ADHD, but he's nice.
Well, one of the girls that sits next to me walks up and see's me talking to him. Obviously, she wasn't cool with it cuz she was like "oh my gosh why is he talking to you, I feel so bad for you." Totally audible to the guy I was talking to.
It was so mean and I'm sure it made him feel like crap. So, I looked up at said girl and told her that I was talking to him because he's cool and and super nice. I then proceeded to finish my conversation with him.
Well, she was not happy and is currently not talking to me. But, here's why I'm posting this random tidbit. First, of all high school is stupid and kids are freaking mean!
I just don't understand why we have to put each other down! If she would have just sat down, I totally would have included her in the conversation, but instead she had to be a total jerk! This is what's wrong with most people are age. It's all about us, singular, our own existence and there are so many people that just don't care about others.
Now, don't get me wrong, not everyone is like this. But, the people that are, need to understand that everyone else has issues as well. They are hurting, they have problems that they hide under a smile (like so many of us do). The world would be a better place if we could all just be kind to one another! And love each other, no matter our differences. No matter our race, our gender preference, our religion, or who we choose to love! Because underneath it all we are just people, a human race, searching for answers, searching for acceptance and love.
So, in conclusion, my friends. Be kind. To whoever you meet and interact with in your day to day. Remember your bit of kindness could change someone's life. No matter how small it seems.
