Chapter 5

That night wasn't as awkward as I thought it would be. We studied for maybe 45 more minutes after the kiss.

But I got tired so we picked out a movie. We ended up watching Finding Nemo and eating popcorn and chips.

" Hey, you still awake?" he asked me quietly during the end of the movie.

"Yeah, I can't sleep. Cuddle?" I asked him. Even though we weren't together we were always close no matter what, and I liked that.

He wrapped his arms around me and held my tight. He whispered into my ear, " I love you Kiera Miera" I smiled.

He used to call me Kiera Miera when we were little.

" I love you too, Chrissy." I whispered back before falling asleep.

*Chris' POV*

She was so cold. I held her to warm her up. I remember when she would spend the night when we were younger. Now that I think about it we never actually touched each other. like at all, so this was different.

Since tomorrow was going to be a big day, I decided to make a plan. I wanted to make the day perfect for my Best friend.

** next morning** Kiera's POV*

When I woke up I slapped my arm around the bed, searching for a sign of Chris with out opening my eyes. But that wasn't working so well. I sat up and saw he was gone. I grabbed my phone, it read 6:18 A.M. I got up and searched for Chris.

I got up to go look in the kitchen when I suddenly heard, "Goooooodmorning Miss birthday! I made you a pancake, but I made it tiny since I know you're not a breakfast kinda girl. Oh, and i put strawberries on it!" Chris said. That boy knows me too much. I smiled and ran to hug him.

" You are too perfect! I'm gunna eat and then i gotta stop by my house. Thank you Chris!" I said to him whilst still held in his arms, my head on his chest.

I ate and then we went to my house so I could get dressed and do my normal routine. I decided to wear my short henna denim shorts with my dance shirt and my just-above-the-knee Alice in wonderland socks with black slip-ons. When I came down stairs, My mom and Chris were talking.

Today was Thursday. I despise Thursdays. they are just little teases. they are like "Wake up! its Friday! Haha just kidding, your a loser" they suck. But this Thursday might be a little better than most.

That day at school everything was normal, I had all my classes and stuff. But something wasn't right with Tara.

She wished me happy birthday and all but she wasn't the same. But school didn't matter to me right now. I needed to talk to Chris.

Once I found him I ran towards him.

" Woah Kiera, um you okay?" he said, flicking my ear.

" Yeah I'm fine, I gotta tell you something! I made plans for us today. I figured we could go to the movies or something?" I said excitedly. I sounded so joyful.

*Chris' POV*

Was she asking me out in a date? If she is I sure feel like crap. I figured I would be the one to ask her out. But yet again I have no idea if she likes me.

" Tara coming? I wouldn't want her to feel left out." I said trying to get as much detail to what she meant.

" Apparently Tara isn't talking to me right now. She being kinda rude to me. I asked but she just walked away." she said.

*Kiera's POV*

I wanted to take Chris to do something special. Last night was a complete mystery. I have no idea what was running through my mind. But I have to admit, Chris is a pretty nice kisser.

It sucked that Tara wasn't coming but I could still have fun with Chris. I mean after all, he made me pancakes with strawberries!!! I freaking love pancakes with strawberries!!!

" So I was thinking, instead of you going home today you could just come home with me? An then we can go straight to the movies!" I said, hoping he would agree.

" Okay that sounds good. But we gotta get to Science. The bell just rung." he replied with a huge smile on his face.

Just as we were going to turn the corner to go to the hall science was on, he jumped right in front of me, leaned over to me, smiling like a maniac, and just stood there!

" Chris, what are you doing?!" I said in frustration, trying to get to class. I looked at him and something told me to kiss him. So I went for it.
