Falling Down. (A Percy Jackson fan fiction)

Chapter 1

  3rd person POV
Percy sat inside the Poseidon cabin for days.
"Percy, want some food?" Hazel would come by, but he would push her away. Ever since Percy fell into Tartarus, he's never been the same. Yes, two demigods fell in, and only one survived. Percy had been devestated and heartbroken. To watch his closest friend disappear infront of him like that. Nico had said he couldn't sense her death, but Percy knew Annabeth wasn't alive. He had seen her die right infront of him.
*FLASHBACK*
Percy tugged at his chains as two unknown men walked Annabeth out to the cliff.
"Percy, whatever happens, don't give up on the war. Don't forget our friendship." Annabeth said and Percy screamed.
"Don't say that. Everything is going to be fine." Percy said but one of the guards struck him in the face, making blood drip onto his tattered shirt.
Annabeth cried and tried to run towards Percy. Two guards shoved her back and closer to the cliff.
"Percy... tell her I love her." Annabeth said and a tear fell from his eye. He nodded his head, and just before they threw her off the cliff she mouthed 'I love you' and Percy screamed. Her body grew relaxed and Percy heard a loud crunching sound. He screamed and tugged at his chains. They snapped at his will.
He snapped one guards neck and kicked the other off the cliff, as power ran through his veins.
Then suddenly he passed out, and thought everything was over. When he woke up, Annabeth and Bob were gone, and there wasn't a cut on his face, or bruises on his wrist.
*FLASHBACK ENDED*
Percy woke up from a nap and checked his watch. It was 12:30.
Percy POV.
I jumped out of my bed and pulled my hoodie over my body and pulled some shorts on. As I walked outside, the wind was crisp to my skin. It was a windy Long Island night. I walked out of camp, and grabbed the first bike I could see. I pedaled my way down the hill and got to the tattoo parlor. I kicked open the door and the shady man with a mullet glared at me.
"Sorry kid, were clos-" he didn't finish his sentence because I grabbed his shirt and slammed him into the wall.
"Your going to give me a tattoo right now." I said and he nodded. I got in the chair and drew out what I wanted. "On my wrist." I said and he quickly got the tattoo gun. I closed my eyes as the needle pierced my skin.
It took about 15 minutes until he was finished, but the end result was good.
I looked at my wrist and smiled. 'Vengeance.' I said in my head and tossed him $20.
"Wha-20 dollars?!" He shouted as I left the parlor and started pedaling back towards camp. When I got back, it was about 1:15.
I dipped my wrist in the lake and my skin healed automatically.
I walked back into my cabin and pulled off my hoodie. I slipped out of my shorts and jumped into bed with only boxers on. I flipped through the channels until I found the soccer channel.
For some reason, the Spanish commentators helped me learn.
Hours later I woke up to Hazel and Nico cleaning up my cabin.
"What the hades are you guys doing in here?!" I spat as hazel picked up a Reese's wrapper.
"Percy, how do you live in this?" She asked as Nico threw away a old pizza box.
"This is my room, id appreciate it if you got out." I spat and Hazel glared back at me.
"Okay Percy. Maybe I'll will stop. You never want me around. I didn't want your life to be destroyed. I wasn't going to let your life go to complete shit because you lost your friend. We have all lost a friend. But maybe you don't deserve my help. You put forth no effort, so why should I?!" Hazel spat and Nico tried to stop her.
"NO. Nico get the fuck away from me. Let me talk. Percy I know what you do. Sneaking out and getting a tattoo? Robbing a poor man and threatening to kill him? You don't want my help, fine. Fuck you. It seems like you want your life to go to shit, so be it. Fuck you Percy." She said and slammed open the door and rushed out.
My mouth opened and closed as I slumped back into the covers. I wouldn't let tears fall infront of Nico.
"You fucked up Percy, you really did." He said and I screamed.
"Fuck You nico! Get the fuck out." I shouted and Nico slammed the door closed and ran off to find his sister. I slumped back into my bed and closed my eyes.
Hazels POV
I stormed out of Percy's cabin and ran off into the woods. I stomped on the grass and it turned dead around me. "FUCK" I screamed and someone walked up behind me.
"Haz, what's wrong?" She asked.
"Percy. He's a self centered piece of shit who can't accept any help whenever it's offered. I try so fucking hard for him and he brushes me off like I'm nothing. I fucking hate him" I screamed and Piper put her hand on my shoulders.
"Hazel, relax. If he can't notice that, he's stupid. He lost a friend, but we all did. It's still stupid for him to just brush everyone off. Maybe he's better off alone." Piper said and I wiped a tear from my eye.
"Thank you Piper." I hugged her and she hugged me back.
Piper POV.
I held hazel in my arms and could tell she was hurt. Percy genuinely hurt her and I couldn't tell why she was hurt but I could tell she was.
Nico walked up and I smiled at him. He awkwardly smiled back and I walked back to camp as he walked into the woods with hazel.
I walked past Percy's cabin, and heard a thump sound. 'He's punching his wall.' I said and kept walking. My walking slowly turned into speedwalking. I got to Jason's cabin and opened the door. He was lying down on his bed watching Cartoon Network, and I jumped on top of him and gave him a kiss. He giggled and I sat up a little higher.
"What's Up" He said and put his hand on my waist. I smiled and then started talking.
"Percy hurt Hazel." I said and Jason immediately got up.
"How?" He asked and I sighed.
"You know how he's been living. Upset over Annabeth. They were best friends. Hazel tried to help and he kept pushing her away until she snapped. She snapped on him and started crying and he really hurt her." I said and Jason got up.
"Let's call in the group. Of course we won't call Percy. I think maybe if we all confront him, it'll push him to feel better." Jason said and I nodded.
I pulled out my phone and removed Percy from the group chat. It wasn't like he would notice, never uses it anyways.
'Meeting in Jason's Cabin in 10 minutes.' I said.
'Ok.' Frank, Leo, Hazel, and Nico said.
'Coming now.' Said Reyna.
About 10 minutes later, everyone showed up. We all crowded into Jason's cabin and Jason spoke up. He told everyone about what happened with Percy and Hazel, and everyone was shocked.
Reyna held franks hand tight, and Frank wrapped his arm around her and she whispered something in his ear, before she kissed him and walked out.
"She doesn't like the idea." Frank said and Jason sighed.
Hazel sat in the back and didn't seem to be paying any attention to the conversation going on.
"Let's go do it." Jason said and I nodded.
"I'm gonna sit this one out guys." Hazel said and I nodded. I hugged her and we walked off to Percy's cabin.
Percy POV.
I checked my phone, and realized that Piper removed me from our group chat. Weird.
I flipped through the channels and ended up on the rap music.
'Up next is the Floridian rapper XXXtentacion, with Idontwannadothisanymore' the guy said and this song started playing. I found myself rewinding my tv, just to listen to the song again. It was very touching.
Then my door bursted open. I pressed pause on the tv and Jason, Piper, Frank, Leo and Nico stood infront of my door.
"Percy. We know what happened with Hazel. You really hurt her." Jason said and I gulped.
"That wasn't my intentions. I was really hurting." I said and Piper sighed.
"Percy, you've pushed everyone to hate you. You are making us hate you. Your pushing everyone away in your life, and isolating yourself. It's to the point where we can't stand it anymore." Piper said and anger rose inside me.
"Fine. You can't stand it anymore?!" I shouted and grabbed a black jansport bag I found lying under my bed and opened it up. I stuffed my clothes inside and pulled up shorts. I pulled over a tank top and slipped on my shoes. "You can't stand me anymore? Say no more! I'm gone." I said and shoved through them.
"Percy, wait" Piper said and I kept walking, resisting the charmspeak. I walked to the stables and looked at black jack.
'Hey boss, got any donuts?' He asked and I smiled.
'We can get some on the way.' I said and he neighed in approval. He climbed out of his stable and I jumped on his back.
Most of the camp was behind me, and anger rose in my body. Betrayal hurts.
"If me grieving is so bad for all of you!" I screamed as blackjack flew into the air.
"Don't worry! You won't ever see me again." I shouted and blackjack started flying away.
"Percy! Wait!" Hazel shouted and I looked back at her. Tears fell from her eyes and I kept flying away. I saw Jason and Frank start flying after me, and I flew towards the ocean. They flew after me and I made the ocean suck them into the water.
I circled around camp and saw Hazel on her knees, crying. A tear fell from my eye, and down onto the ground of camp half blood.
'They did this boss, not you' Blackjack said and we flew off, heading north.
*ONE DAY LATER*
Chiron cleared his throat as everyone sat around the table. All the cabin leaders, along with Hazel, Nico, Frank, and Reyna.
"Hello Demigods. We are here to discuss the absence of Percy Jackson. I would like to know why he left, what drove him to leave, and plans to get him back. Because right now, we might be in trouble. We lost the only thing keeping monsters and immortals away." Chiron said and Piper told the story of what had happened.
"You guys thought it was a good idea to make a grieving boy feel worse? He needed someone." Chiron said and Hazel sobbed in the back. Nico comforted her and Jason stared off into space, wondering why he thought like that.
"We know he flew east. And we know he's with Blackjack. I would like to send 4 people out, to look for the boy. And remember, he needs someone. But he is dangerous." Chiron said.
"I'll go." Hazel spoke up quickly and Nico said he'd go with her.
"Then Calypso and I will go on Festus and try and find him also. " Leo said and Chiron nodded.
"Be back in one month. If you don't find him, well send others out." Chiron said and everyone nodded.
The search for Percy Jackson had begun.
