Geraldine walked down the hallway with her best friend, Veronica, looking fabulous as always. Today was different than the others. Something was more bright. Geraldine looked in all directions, but could not see anything new. Students were trotting down the hall while gazing at Veronica and her in complete admiration and Geraldine raised her head up, letting the compliments from the pathetic oafs wash over her.

A girl ran down the hallway with all her books in one hand. She didn't look at Veronica and her as the others did. Geraldine smirked as for she didn't recognize the girl so it was time for a first impression. Geraldine stuck out her leg.

Who did this girl think she was to steal all the attention from her?! This thought irked Geraldine and she watched gleefully as the new girl took an immense fall onto the hallway floor. All her books flew out of her arms and smacked her head as they fell onto the floor as well.

Geraldine and Veronica laughed as they walked away. Geraldine whipped her dirty blonde hair back and looked back at the new girl to gather details to gossip about as she saw Cameron lean down to help the girl up. Cameron was the first person who welcomed Geraldine when she first showed up. She had a crush on him ever since. It was like him to do that and brave too. No other student dared to get in Geraldine's anger path.

Jealousy thwacked her in the stomach. Now this girl was after her man! Now, Geraldine's anger grew into flames and she sashayed away from the group of students. "Hey Ger, are you okay? You know...what you did was pretty funny." Geraldine whipped her head around to see amusement gleaming in her best friend's eyes and a thin smile form on her beautiful face. "Of course it was. And yeah, I'm fine...Just thinking of gossip to tell and stuff." She lied.

"Good..Good. Hey maybe at lunch we could "accidentally" trip and spill some water on her shirt."

Geraldine let out a snort of laughter, her jealousy slowly ebbed away from her. "Pfft, yeah," She muttered, "That'll teach her a lesson not to steal my man." Veronica's eyes drifted to her and a puzzled look cloaked her once joyful face. "Sorry. Didn't hear that last part..." Geraldine's face flushed and she sheepishly hid her face in her jacket. "N-Nothing...Just excited to fool that girl." Not even Veronica, her best friend that stayed with her from middle school through high school, knew that she secretly loved Cameron. She knew that if she told her then Veronica would turn against her since Cameron was her boyfriend.
