"I'm paying." I stated, quickly giving the money to the man at the counter before Ollie could do the same."Hey!" He looked at me. "I was going to pay."
"I know. Which is why I did that. You're spending too much money on me already. I want to help you out." I put my wallet back in my purse.
"Oh, I'm so going to get you for that." His eye twinkled, just like they always do when he's being mischievous, and I laughed.
"Sure, you are. Oh, and you're also flying to the moon, aren't ya?" I laughed again.
"Oh, yeah, go ahead, keep on laughing. But imma get ya. When you're least expecting it. " he warned, pointing his index finger at me.
I giggled. "Sure you are, Ollie."
"I'm serious!"
I nodded, and tried not to laugh. "I know. So am I. "
He scoffed. "No, you're not. You don't scrunch up your nose when you're serious. I know you, Jadie. "
Jadie? Since when did he call me Jadie? ..
"Oh, alright, ya got me. I'm not being serious. " I gave in. There was nothing else to do. Ollie always won. Always.
"So. We still got, like, 40 minutes before we have to be on that plane. What do you want to do?" He asked, leaning on the wall beside be with his left arm. I couldn't help but notice the light reflect off of his eyebrow piercing.
I reached up and touched it. I'm weird, I know. But I couldn't resist. I don't know why.
"Ya like it?" He asked quietly.
I smiled and nodded. "Yeah, it suits you. "
He smiled back, and I let my hand drop.
"Thanks." He responded.
"I wanna talk." I answered his earlier question, and he looked confused.
"You asked me what I wanted to do, and I want to talk."
"Oh..that. Um, I mean, sure..but don't you want to shop or something? Like, girly stuff?"
I laughed. "I'm not like other girls, Ollie. I figured you would know that by now. I don't wanna waste this time we have together. I wanna spend every second with you on this trip. "
He smiled, and pulled me towards him with my waist, and hugged me tightly. I wrapped my arms around his neck, and hugged him back, just as hard.
"Not even an hour into our trip, and I already don't want to let you go," he breathed, snuggling his face into my neck.
I tried hard not to think about it, because if I did, I knew I would get hurt.
But I couldn't help it. That one sentence was all I could think about as we talked the 40 minutes away.
I didn't want it to, but it finally hit 10 till one.
We had to get on the plane.
My breathing picked up a little more when we go close to the huge machine, and I reached out and grabbed Ollie's hand. I didn't even think. I just needed to know that he was here with me, through the whole thing.
He squeezed my hand gently, reassuring me that everything was going to be okay, and that he was with me through the whole thing.
I just nodded, swallowing hard.
We went through all of the before- boarding procedures, and the whole time, Ollie's hand was twined with mine. I gotta say, it felt pretty darn good.
