I was sitting at the kitchen counter when you came back in looking at your feet.
"I watched the security camera after you left for work and recognized the car when I pulled in. Why was she here?" I asked playing with my hands.
You sighed and sat down next to me.
"She was here this morning to check on me after I didn't answer the phone and I told her this morning that I couldn't talk to her anymore which is why she came back." You said softly.
I scoffed and reached into my back pocket pulling out an envelope and slid it to you.
You opened it and broke down in tears shaking your head.
"We said we would fix this no. Baby we can't." You said
"Poeta you lied to me. I can't trust you. Just sign the divorce papers so we can move on." I said shaking my head.
You grabbed my face and kissed me pushing your wet cheeks against mine and hugged my neck.
"She's gone I promise. I love you. I want you. Please don't do this." You said hugging me tighter.
I hugged you back and pulled you onto me.
"Ok baby." I said as you cried harder.
It took me less than two minutes to have you upstairs, naked and in bed.
As many times as I have tasted you nothing compared to the hunger I had now.
I couldn't get my face between your legs deep enough. Our bodies couldn't get close enough. No matter how much you scratched and screamed I never got tired.
It made me want you more.
But after a few hours we laid in bed under each other looking at the ceiling with our fingers entwined.
"Did we just have our midlife crisis early?" You asked tracing the tattoo on my chest perfectly without looking.
"No. We don't have kids yet. It was just our welcome to marriage bump." I said smiling.
Right as we were drifting off to sleep a phone rang and I groaned shaking you.
"Po turn your phone off." I said into your hair.
You pushed me back and rolled over.
"You broke my phone jackass." You said plopping back down on the bed.
I grabbed my phone and answered clearing my throat.
"I was gonna call you in the morning." I said as you sat up in the bed staring at me.
"Well Max after tonight your calls will no longer come through. My wife and I decided to work on us which means no more you. Bye." I said and hung up.
You laid across me and kissed me softly as you smiled.
"I now pronounce us happily ever after." I said setting my phone down and tackling you into the bed.
