Matt's POV:

The darkness of the cab was every-so-often interrupted by passing headlights and the occasional street lamp, causing a flash of light that illuminated Scar's delicate face. She drew my attention from the road like a new species would draw a curious scientist. She was different, and I wanted to know everything about her.

I focused hard on the road ahead of me, trying to get the picture of her out of my mind before I accidentally kill us.

I felt her eyes on me, "So, umm..where exactly are you taking me?"

"Hunnington Beach" I replied in a matter-of-fact voice, "Its about an hour drive, so you better get comfy."

She snickered as she pulled off her hoodie and curled up on the seat. Resting her head on the window, she used her hoodie as a pillow, "Alright, as long as you don't kill us."

When I first laid eyes on her, I noticed how tiny she was but now with her sweatshirt off, she looked almost sick. Her body looked so small and fragile, like a castle of glass. As if she could be broken by a subtle touch, or as though she could be swept away like flower pedals in the wind. She couldn't be much over 100 pounds, if even.

I smirked, catching her wondering eyes gazing on me. She laughed and smiled before cozying up and closing her eyes. Nothing Else Matters quietly hummed out of my car's speakers. I hoped the sound of Metallica would help her sleep since she talked about how it made her feel better when she was a kid. Gently, I sang along, "So close, no matter how far. Couldn't be much more from the heart. Forever trusting who we are. And nothing else matters."

I pulled into Jimmy's long drive way. Turning around in my seat, I saw him passed out with the bottle of Jack clutched to his body like a teddy bear. I touched him on the knee, "Hey bud. We're home." I whispered quietly.

He sat there silent. I cringed as drool slowly rolled from his chin to the leather of my back seats. I shook his knee, "Come on buddy. Wake up!!"

He squirmed a bit and tried to stretch out, but his large body didn't fit well in the cab. He sat up and looked at me with dead eyes before bluntly saying, "Carry me?"

I chuckled, "Just like highschool.."

Pulling him from the back of my car was a bit of a struggle. He ended up dropping his Jack Daniels, resulting in shards of broken glass scattering across his driveway. The reflection of the porch light made them light up like stars in the dark galaxies above.

He stumbled a bit before catching his balance on my arm. He looked at me seriously, "You better fucking carry me."

"Aren't we a little old for this?" I asked exhausted.

He laughed and tried jumping into my arms, "We're never too old for this!!"

I sighed, "fine."

Picking him up, I carried the 6'4 man to the door. I'll admit, it was becoming a struggle. He wasn't the lanky teenager he use to be.

Jimmy unlocked his door and stumbled inside, with a smile he mummbled, "Thanks man!"

I chuckled before heading by to the car. I got in to see Scar still resting in a little ball. I rushed off to my place. Its technically Zacky's, Brian's, and my place, but that's besides the point.

I pull into the large home and shut off the car. Sitting in the silence, I could've fallen asleep right there, but Scar's sleeping body looked uncomfortable scrunched up in a ball. I pushed myself out of the car and opened the passenger's side door.

Wrapping my arms around her body, I picked her up marriage style. She squirmed a little before settling into my arms, her head resting on my shoulder. She was as light was a delicate flower, and as beautiful as one too. Holding her close, I carried her inside.
