Morita Therapy .

A Psychotherapist , Shoma Morita created his own purpose –centered therapy , in Japan . It proved to be effective in the treatment of neurosis ,obsessive –compulsive disorder , and post traumatic stress.

Here are the four phases of the Morita therapy .

1. Isolation and rest (Five to seven days)

All the social networking is set on a full stop mode , The person is cut of from the outside world and left alone with his own thoughts .

2.Light occupational theory (Five to seven days )

The patient undergoing the therapy is asked to maintain his own dairy to keep track of his own thoughts ,Taking baby steps towards the outside world like taking walk in the nature , drawing or painting .He is still not allowed to talk to anyone apart from the therapist .

3.Occupational therapy .(Five to seven days)

At this stage the patient is allowed to talk to other people but the main objective is to get involved in physical task of the world .

The task like going to the mountain top cutting bark etc.

4. The return to social life or into the real world.

The idea here is to go into the social world with the sense of new purpose in life without being pressurized by the social world.

The patient is asked to maintain the practice of mediation and occupational therapy while returning to the real world.
