Love and Lies

Chapter 3.5

*Jerome wakes up in shock only to find himself in a hospital be in a hospital room*

Jerome: "GAHH!!!!" *looks around and calms down a bit, due to the familiar environment* "... Sandra!?! Sandra!!! Where are you-"

??? (male voice): "She's not here, Jerome."

Jerome: *to himself* "... s***."

*Four pale white people walk in.  One is a very tall man with a black suit coat and an equally dark tie as if he went to a funeral. Another is another tall woman with blond hair in a silver, flashy dress. The two others are another man and another woman, all dressed in similar clothing to the tall man*

??? (female in the suit): "Master Jerome, we found just in time before-"

Jerome: "Shut it, Sebastian. Where's Sandra!?!"

??? (the female in the dress): "Watch your tongue. You may be my son. But that doesn't mean you are in any position to question us."

Jerome: "..."

Jerome's Mother: "Now, just know that it took a lot for me and your father to cover up what you had done."

Jerome: "!!!! Wait a-"

Jerome's Dad: "You don't have to be sorry. I never thought that you would have the wits to hold a gun! Let alone, pull the trigger." 

Jerome: "... What...?"

Jerome's Father: "Yes... after shooting that Follower of the Black Crow to near death, your mother and I had both decided... *holds out his hand* You will finally be considered a part the White Dove. Would you be willing to accept such power?"

Jerome *to himself, staring and his father's hand*: "Finally... after so many years of ignorance and rejection... I have finally achieved my dream since the beginning of my life? I don't even know what I did... What would Sandra think? If the only cost of achieving my dream was never being able to see her again?"

*Jerome flashes back to his memories with her, but while he does think about all the positive times, those get overwhelmed with more negative incidents, such as when he spilled the spaghetti on her and got her angry (refusing to listen to him), when he attempted to comfort Sandra by putting his arm around her only to be rejected, and the other times he was constantly rejected.*

Jerome *grabs his hand with a grip with a stern look*: "If it means bringing the true meaning of peace to the world, I will die for such an honor."

Jerome's Mother *smiling*: "When the scarecrow stands strong-"

Everybody: "-the dove must break the stick it stands on."

Jerome's Father *smiling*: "Welcome, my son... no... my brother. *to the other two in suits* August. Sebastian... Please lead him to the room where he will be marked. *both bow their heads and head out with Jerome to make preparations, now directed to Jerome's mom* Alice... Please come with me to the Interrogation Room... the prisoner Brother Jerome gave us is very weak... But he has the potential to be a turning point. *sneers*"
