Love and Lies

Chapter 5

(Upstairs on the ceiling, immediately after the explosion)

Marge *taking cover beside Roger*: "Wow... right after we move, we are ALREADY under attack!!!! F****!"

Roger: "Chill out... Yes, Echo's mark has the ability to disable Lobos's security, but we have the upper hand against these a******."

Marge: "And it's like YOU have a helpful mark at the moment!"

*Sevens and Jake both fire at the two.*

Roger *frowning*: "Where is she anyways? I thought it would be nice to have a nice reunion."

Marge *pulls out an assault rifle*: "You're going after your ex? That's a first."

Roger: *shrugs* "She's cute! Can't get her off my mind."

*As Sevens and Jake stop to reload, Marge stands up, firing and them with clenched teeth. As those two take cover, Roger runs around, quickly running around towards them. They do realize him, but at that point, it's too late, as Roger smacks their weapons away and knocks out Jake.*

Sevens: "Wire is down!!!! Hurry up down there!"

Roger *jumping around like Bruce Lee, ready to fight*: "I guess it's... down to the wire? Heh? No?"

*Sevens easily puts him down and throws him off the roof.*

Roger *falling*: "THIS IS Unfairrrrr...." *thunk*

*As Sevens looks down to confirm Roger is put down, Marge fires at her, destroying a portion of her ear and causing a bunch of gears and gizmos to fly out. She doesn't scream, however, as her flickering body just takes cover and she repairs her ear.*

Marge *reloading*: "*calling out* I knew it! Hey, Kate! It's me!!!"

Sevens *reloading pistols*: "Shit... *calling back* Don't you DARE call me that-"

Marge *still reloading*: "Aww, come on girl. I know we ended it all kinda quickly, but aren't you at all glad to see me again?"

Sevens *stands up from cover, firing at Marge's area, then takes cover again*: "Yeah... glad as a potato getting its skinned peeled off."

Marge *fires back, then takes cover*: "See, this is the exact reason it was put on a bad note! You don't seem to have that sense of humor that I thought you had!"

Sevens: "Says the one who was always on top of the pack and always bragged about it."

Marge: "Logical Fallacy!!! Ad Hominem!"

Sevens: "That literally has nothing to do with this-"

Marge *fires a shot at Sevens*: You know what? Let's just talk about this later. There's really no arguing with somebody who always thinks they are right."

Sevens: "'He or she is right.'" *fires back at Marge*

Marge: "Shut the f*** up!!!!"

(Back Downstairs with Lobos and Sandra)

Lobos: "Ay caramba... They are very desperate about capturing you... you may have to hide somewhere."

Sandra *head aching immensly*: "... what about you?"

Lobos: "I'll be fine, mi chica!!!! Now there should be some sort of stairway heading to the door of the back over there *points at a passageway*. Now, go!!!!"

*Sandra nods and runs off, Lobos activates the turrets on top directing them towards the main entrance, flips a table, and takes cover.*

*There is a tense moment of silence*
