Garroth had been in his room for 3 days now refusing to even eat, he only took a glass of water from Vylad pushing away the plates of food. Vylad had realized just how much he had hurt Garroth in his anger. He apologized and had been forgiven but Garroth still refused to budge. He hadn't told Zane what was happening at home and now it was the day to bring him home. "Garroth, I'm going to get Zane... I'll be back..." he stood at the front door for a few seconds hoping he would maybe hear some kind of response but after a minute of silence he sighed and made his way out of the house.
The car ride home was silent no words spoken. Vylad helped Zane into his wheelchair and wheeled him inside. Zane was slightly expecting Garroth to be there ready to try to apologize his heart out. Upon seeing the room completely empty he looked confused. "Not that I care, but where's Garroth?" he asked. Vylad sighed "He's upstairs in his room... hasn't left for three days." Zane frowned looking down and thinking for a minute. Of course, he was til angry but he wanted to see his brother from what he heard he was slightly worried about the effect this had on his older brothers mental health.
Zane asked Vylad to get him as he wheeled himself over to the couch, he sat patiently waiting for his brother. Vylad knocked on Garroth's door "Garroth, Zane's here he wants to see you..." I was silent for a minute before the door opened revealing a sickly looking Garroth. Vylad gasped taking a step back. Garroth was pale enough to compete with Zane. His hair no longer just frizzle but a tangled mess. His eye bags were deep and eyes red. He was wearing the same thing he had been the day he disappeared into his room. Yet what startled Vylad the most was the dead look in Garroth's eyes. Yes, he had seen Zane before once or twice with the same expression but it see it on such a usually happy and carefree guy was... unsettling.
Garroth sighed and looked away from Vylad making his way down the stairs without a word. Vylad followed behind concerned, they reached the bottom and Vylad cut in front getting to the living room before Garroth. "He's... coming," Vylad said his expression making Zane lift an eyebrow. Garroth entered the living room leaning against the doorway not making eye contact with Zane. Zane's jaw dropped at the state of his brother, looking as if all the light and color had been drained right out of him.
"G-Garroth..." he was almost speechless. "Look at me please," he said softly. Garroth slowly lifted his head looking at his brother the dead look in his eyes speaking volume to the younger brother. Garroth opened his mouth "I-I'm s-sorry" he spoke softly his voice raspy and uneven, his heart thumped and he felt like the whole world was spinning. Zane frowned and took a deep breath. "Garroth, It's alright-" he was cut off by Garroth yelling, not at him but just in frustration. "No it's not!!!" tears formed quickly and dropped down his face, he fell to his knees. "I hurt you! This is my fault! Y-You should hate me! Everyone should... hate me. I.." he paused taking a small breath. "I hate me, so why don't you?" He said his voice a bit higher from crying, the look of sorrow and pleading in his eyes along with the very unexpected question, Zane and Vylad were taken aback by it. The two glanced at each other for a moment and both knew one thing. Garroth was broken, and it seemed like it would be a very complicated fix...
