I always knew that something was strange about me. Anytime I would get upset a few strands of my hair would turn red, and I would constantly have weird dreams. The one I recently had was extraordinary, I was walking alone in the woods at night. I could hear ominous noises behind me as I walked deeper into the dark. Then all of a sudden the sound of footsteps began to approach behind me, getting louder and louder. The mysterious dark figure leans close to my ear and whispers. "Use your special gift". Then it disappears and I would wake up.

I would always wonder what the figure meant by that. When I got up from bed I hurried around my room with many thoughts on my mind. "I can't be late to school again". I said to myself. I proceeded to the bathroom to take a shower while putting my long brown hair up in a bun. Before I was about to undress I heard a knock at my bedroom door. I walked over to see who was causing me to be more late then I already was.

Opening the door I see my mother standing in front of me with a daring look on her face. "Did you oversleep AGAIN!" She yelled while frantically waving her hands in the air. "I don't know what happened." I replied. "But the more I stay here talking to you the more I'm gonna be late." I closed the door on her.

My mother is like me in a way. Her hair also turns red when she gets upset. That be often because I always piss her off day and night. At the rate I'm going her hair is gonna also fall out from the stress. But her natural hair color is blonde non like mine. Mine is dark brown.

Afterwards I continued back to the bathroom to get in the shower. As I get in the water was blazing hot, but that felt nice on my skin. In fact... I turned it more on hot. That's another thing about me. I shower in only hot water, no cold mixed with it. Not even a little.

My shower was cut short when I looked at the time. I quickly dried off while also rushing to get my clothes. While doing so I hit my foot on my dresser. Anger and pain filled my face, then I looked in the mirror and saw my hair turn red. "More then usual?" I whisper to myself.

As I finished getting dressed I ran downstairs. "HAVE A NICE..!" Shouted my mother. But I was already out the door, so I didn't hear the rest of what she said. I get in my car and turn on the radio. "Hello from the other siiiiiide I've must have called a thousand tiiiiiiimes to tell you I'm sorry for everything that I've done." "I LOVE ADELE!" I shout out.

Finally arriving at school I shut off the radio and  get out the car. "I'm SO late." I get in the school and the hallways are empty. While running up the stairs I tripped and dropped my math book. It slid all the way back down stairs. I sighed. "Do I really need that book." I kept motioning looking back and forth between my math book and upstairs to my class. I chose my class. "Bye bye book."

When I approached to my class I then realized that my homeroom class was my math class. I closed my eyes and looked up. "FUCK!" I looked back down to see that everyone in the class was looking at me. Maybe I said that a little TO loud. Turning the doorknob I walked in and Mrs. Walter approached me. "Sabrina. You're late. Get out your math book." She demanded.

When she said that so many thoughts were in my head. "What lie should I come up with?" I thought. I stood there as she was waiting for an answer to come from me. I opened my mouth to say what first popped in my head. "My snake ate it....then died." The whole class started laughing.

The teacher looked at me in disgust. "I will talk to you after class. Please take your seat." I nodded and took my seat next to my best friend Alexa. She looked over to me as I sat down. "What really happened?" She whispered.

"I got lazy. That's what happened." I replied. My friend Alexa is like the opposite of me in many ways. She is always nice to people even if they are mean. She also wears big thick glasses to read. Don't get me started with her outfits. Every time I see her she wears a dress. Even in the winter, and her clothes are always bright.

But at the end of the day she does not care what people think of her. That's what I mostly like about her. She is her own person.

The teacher walks around passing out the test scores from last tuesday. She's wearing her long black dress as always, with her long black hair in a ponytail. She also has one of those really tiny glasses from the cartoons that old people be wearing.

I look down at my test score. "I got a B." I said with excitement. Alexa looks over with a shocked look on her face. "How. You don't even do anything." She says while packing up for the bell to ring. I looked at my paper then back at her. "I guess it was just luck."

The bell rings and Alexa finishes packing up her books. She starts to run out the door like she was being chased. I get up and start to walk to the door. When I get in the hallway I see everyone looking at me. Laughing. Giggling.

I wonder why? What was going on?

If I had known what was going to happen that day then I would have stayed home...
