Before I left him to sleep, I gave him a quick peck on the cheek "Goodnight."

With that I shut the lights and went to bed.

Narrator's POV

Newt awoke to find himself covered in two blankets and surrounded by three pillows. A rush of nausea, coursed through him. Once he got up the feeling became worse. This time he was feeling sick to brim. Quickly I ran to the bathroom and coughed up a fit. It lasted for quite awhile. After about 5 minutes Newt leaned against the wall. Shutting his eyes as trying his best to remember the events of last night. But nothing it didn't work.

Then a knock came to the door. He assumed it would be Jacob since he did see run Newt run in here.

"Er -- sorry Jacob I'm not really in the mood for company-"

"Jacob is cooking up breakfast with Queenie. I can go if you want." Tina responded from the other side. Immediately he rushed to open the door. There she was looking absolutely breathtaking. There was something about the way her bangs fell across her face that always made him smile. It wasn't until Tina snapped her fingers that he was brought out his daydreaming state.

"Newt, are you alright?"

"Um y-ye-yes I'm fine. Just a bit woozy that's all."

"You had quite a night. I'm guessing you want to take a day off from tracking Grindelwald?"

"Er- not really I'm totally fine."

"um... Newt this is really stupid but Queenie said you got drunk over a girl. Who was it?"

Though Tina had her suspicions she wanted to hear it from him to confirm it. Newt was taken aback by this. He didn't know how to respond. What was he going to say? That he got drunk over Tina's apparent joy over a letter. Or maybe he just got drunk seeing his regret that he should've told her how he's fancied her for quite some time now.

"Tina get Newt out of that bathroom! Breakfast's ready!" With that Tina gave Newt a smile. Tina knew he wanted to keep this to himself so she just gave him a smile as if to say 'it's okay I understand'. He couldn't read the expression she had all he knew it meant that she wouldn't push him if he didn't want to talk.

They all sat there in peace, eating their breakfast. Newt and Tina occasionally risked glancing at each other but ended up embarrassed over it. Queenie and Jacob eventually broke their silence by asking Newt how he was. He sheepishly replied that he was fine. The last thing he wanted was for Queenie not to bring up what happened last night. Mainly because he had no clear memory of what happened.

"So Newt, who's the girl?" Newt nearly choked on his tea when Queenie asked. He looked to her knowing that she most likely knew the answer to her question. All eyes were on him now. What was he going to say? Heat slowly began to creep unto his face.

"Er-I don't really know what you're talking about Queenie."

"Newt, buddy you came in here last night in their arms like you were on cloud nine." Jacob said gesturing to Tina and Queenie. He looked bashfully between the two of them. They nodded in unison confirming what Jacob had said.

"I knew it! It was because of that!" Queenie immediately jumped up from her seat. Newt paled at the sight, he knew she was going to Tina. Quickly he excused himself from the table and retreated back into his case.

Time Skip--

After nearly 10 minutes of trying to sneak out of the guest bedroom, he gave up and decided to go down into his case. Before he did he made sure to lock the door to keep any of them from entering. Not like it did him any good, anyway.

Newt busied himself with feeding his creatures to push away the thoughts of the previous night. The memories of his experience last night have slowly come back to him. At that point he had wished he could've snuck on a ship back to London at the moment to spare himself from further embarrassment.

Everything just came flooding in. He was in the erumpent's habitat when he began to slowly piece them together. He was so close to letting his guard down.

"Ye-llow Te-ena,"
"You look very pretty Teena, did I ever say that to you?"
"You've got beau-utiful skin Teena,"
"Can you not play with my emotions? It's re-eally confuuusing Ms. Goldstein."

A call distracted him fro his thoughts. He looked back at his shed to find Tina standing by the door. She wore her classic ivory white blouse and black trousers. Her was still wavy with the addition of the bangs.

Newt smiled to himself seeing that even after all these months nothing's changed. She made her way down to where Newt had been standing. Something about Newt's case had always made her stomach catch butterflies.

The last time she's been in here was back in New York. They had just found the occamy and Dougal in Macy's.  (A/N I didn't want to recount the New York incident) But she shook the thoughts out of her head. She wanted to ask him about that girl but she decided to ask him how he planned to track Grindelwald.

"So... How do you plan to track Grindelwald down?"

He opened his mouth only to close it again. He hadn't really thought about it, suddenly an idea popped into his head.

"Um.. Well—magic you see leaves traces—Dark magic for instance—"

"Brilliant! Where do we start?!" She exclaimed. Newt looked aimlessly at a spot behind her for a moment. He then picked up his case,

"Well, come on then." Unconsciously he grabbed her hand and ran into the shed and gathered all the things they would need to track Grindelwald. He hadn't noticed how long he had held her hand until he looked to Tina. She was blushing from their touch. He wiggled his hand out of her grasp, his cheeks began to heat up as he climber the ladder. Tina sighed inaudibly before climbing the ladder.

They trudged up to the living room to find Queenie and Jacob ready to go out. Newt didn't really know why they were, but he sensed Tina knew. This was later proven when Tina scolded her sister for reading their minds.

"Newt, I think we can start with our block then move from there." Queenie suggested brightly. They got their coats and walked towards the door. Both Queenie and Jacob had already gone out the door. It was now Tina's turn to exit, she motioned to grab her coat but was stopped by Newt. She was whirled around to face him. His face was etched with worry and anxiousness. Tina could only wonder as to why he looked like that.

"Tina—obviously—I know you've been curious—It isn't who you think it is."

If only you knew, Newt thought to himself.

"No explanation needed. You keep that little bit to yourself at your discretion." She shrugged her arm out of Newt's grasp inviting him to leave with him to track down Grindelwald. Newt stared at her in confusion, but her smile was more than enough to tell him that he was going to be fine.

Time Skip--

They've roamed around to find traces of Dark Magic but were quite unlucky to find none in the nearby areas. So they decided to move west of their block and still found none. Until they decided to head east. They were able to find traces but they were faint links.

When they got home they decided to call it a night. But Newt still had one more thing to do. He rushed over to the table and grabbed a piece of paper and his quill. After 5 minutes of contemplating he called for his Elio, his tawny owl. Carefully he tied the envelope to it's leg, he moved towards the window and set it on it's long journey to London.
