(Alex)
"Well where did she go?" I scream while running over to the lake
"How did you lose her?" Luke asks
"Hey its not my fault! She just kinda.... disappeared" Meghan snaps back
"Did she swim away?"
"No I would have seen her do that." Meghan says, still shift the water.
"Well... what do we do now? Luke asks.
"We can't stay here." Meghan says subtly
"We can't leave her!" I scream
"We aren't leaving her if she's not here!" Meghan screams back
Luke steps between us. "Guys You're both right! Now quit fighting!"
"How can we both be right? I ask
"You're right, because we can't leave Izzy here all alone. Meghan is right because we can't stay here." Luke says
"So what do we do?" Meghan asks.
"We need to leave her a sign, something she will understand, but that isn't to obvious" Luke says
"Like what?" I ask
"We are going over there," He points over to the other side of the lake "But we are going to stack three rocks on top of each other, and leave an extra rock on the side."
"How will that tell her anything?" Meghan asks
"Just trust me, please." Luke says pleading with us.
"Okay, lets just go before Tunay gets back" Meghan says
"If we don't find her its your fault Luke!" I scold him
Meghan spins around. "No Alex! This is your fault!" Meghan screams walking back to us
"How is this my fault?" I shout
"If you would just control your emotions, instead of feeling bad for yourself all the time, Izzy wouldn't be missing!" Meghan shouts back
"I can't control pain!" I scream back
"But you don't have to-" Meghan begins
"Stop! Just Stop It!" Luke screams "Yelling isn't going to find Izzy! And its definitely not helping keep us hidden! Now I'm walking over to that side of the lake, and neither of you are welcome to come with me, until youve stopped yelling. Got it?"
"Fine. I'm ready" Meghan says
I sigh "I'm good, lets go"
Luke stacks three, tennis ball sized rocks on top of each other, into a small tower. Then we begin walking around the lake. I can't help but think about Izzy the whole time that we walk in silence. Was this really my fault? It can't be. I'd never forgive myself. I was thinking about her all night. Where did she go? Did Tunay take her? Did she drown? We lit a fire small enough to warm us if we got close, but not big enough to get us caught. We all lay on the ground and fell asleep quickly after.
(Luke)
Last night was the longest night ever. I knew Alex and Meghan were doubting my choice to leave the lake. I just hope Izzy remembered our deal, we'll have to check later today.
Alex woke Meghan up and we packed our thing then went back to the lake. All we had with us was the medial kits, but we couldn't leave them, we might need them. But hopefully we won't need them. When we got near the lake I started running to the rocks I had stacked. There are two more rocks on top of the stack I made.
"Who put the extra two on there?" Alex asks.
"Hopefully Izzy" I say
"Luke, I don't understand what you're doing with the rocks" Meghan sighs
"You will later" I say. I pick up the rocks and throw three of them into the lake.
Izzy swam out from the lake, he was holding a little boys hand.
"Izzy!" Alex starts running over to her, then stops in her tracks "Um, who's that?"
"This is Peter. Can you tell them how old you are Peter? Izzy asks him
"Who are they?" Peter asks her
"That's Alex, that is Meghan, and he is Luke. They are my brother and sisters." Izzy says pointing to us.
"I'm six!" Peter says
"When Alex shook the ground, it opened a void, where Tunay had imprisoned Peter. When he was four, Tunay took him and tested the serum on him.-" Izzy explains
"What serum? Meghan asks.
"The serum... that Tunay killed our mother for... He tested it on Peter before he put it in himself." Izzy says sadly
"So he can control the weather too?" Alex asks.
"Yes. But Tunay imprisoned him because two people can't hold the same power, and if they do neither of them can control it." Izzy explains
"So what does that mean for us?" I ask
"He's coming with us, and we have to protect him. Tunay is going to try and find him. And kill him." Izzy says and then it begins raining.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to." Peter says looked up sadly at Izzy.
“What did you not mean to do" Alex asks.
"I made it rain." Peter says "You look like Izzy!" He says beginning to smile
"I know I do, sweetie. Izzy how did you know to come out of the water? What if we had been Tunay.?" I ask
"When we got here Luke and I came up with a plan. If we ever got lost we would stack rocks, one for each person who is with us. Then we Climb the nearest tree, or jump into the lake, or find the safest place to hide. Then the signal that its safe to come out of hiding is when the rocks are thrown. Luke threw three rocks, so I knew the three of you were here, and it was safe to come out." Izzy explained
"How long were you in the lake?" Luke asks
"We got out of the void and daybreak. its around noon now."
"How did you stay down there so long?" Meghan asks.
"Remember when I made that air for Luke while we were all in the lake? I did that." Izzy says, obviously proud that she didn't kill anyone.
"Well now what? Luke asks.
Peter Falls over, and Izzy drops his hand.
"Peter!" Izzy screams. "He's unconscious!
