He Didn't Miss Much (1)

Simmons is so sad when she says this line at the end of the season finale.

Of course she's sad because Fitz died. But she knows that she'll get him back. I think what truly broke her heart was what he missed. She is trying not to think about it, because it's too painful. She is in denial.
Fitz missed many wonderful things.
He missed a lot of bad things too, but until the season finale Fitzsimmons had the most special moments of their lives in this season. And even though Fitz is thankfully not dead, the Fitz who is alive didn't get to experience many of those special moments.

1. Getting to see the future. Even though it was terrible, and they were able to change it, making it an alternate future. Fitz missed the experience.

2. Getting to be a bounty hunter, basically the Han Solo of S.H.I.E.L.D.

3. Seeing Simmons again for the first time

4. Finally finding something wonderful in space.

5. Being reunited with Simmons

6. Finally Proposing to Simmons (even though she couldn't hear)

7. Simmons proposing to him.

8. The kiss

9. Rescuing Simmons and Daisy from Kasius 

10. Another special kiss
