You're gone
But you're still in my head
Walking around like you did before
Why can't you just leaveWe've settled this
We aren't friends anymore
But you kept the key to my heart
And walk in whenever you pleaseYou won't let me forget you
But you've probably forgotten about me
I never got your key
I don't belong in your heartI want to hate you
I want to forget you
I hate myself for not hating you
I hate myself even more for still loving youYes it hurts when your heart is broken by a partner
But for some stupid reason
It hurts worse
When it's a friend who breaks it instead.Authors note: not exactly lady love but this is about someone I used to have a crush on but became pretty good friends with instead. We drifted apart but she still crosses my mind often because I still care a lot about her. It sucks but I hope one day she'll be a distant memory.
