Y/N chuckled softly at her friends as they finally reached the hotel after a few minutes of hiking up some stairs. "Come on, it wasn't that bad," Y/N said to which Natasha and Pepper gave her looks.
"Wasn't bad? She's kidding, right?" Natasha asked. "Honey, I'm pretty sure I sweated off half my weight just going up those stairs in this heat," Pepper said.
Wanda and Y/N looked at each other before shaking their heads with smiles on their faces. "You'll get used to it," Wanda assured them. "Yeah, maybe when I suddenly grow wings and can fly myself up here," Natasha retorted.
"Oh, my God!" a voice exclaimed and the women turned to see Alex standing on the balcony of her room. The young girl was looking down at them with a huge grin and she exclaimed, "Auntie Nat!"
"Alex! Hurry down here so your aunts can give you a hug!" Natasha said before the girl disappeared into her room. Pepper stared at the space that Alex had been standing in before looking over at Y/N with wide eyes.
"Look at Alex. She's gotten so beautiful," Pepper said as she put a hand over her heart. The last time she had seen Alex was forever ago and she would be surprised if Alex even remembered who she was.
"I know," Y/N said with a smile on her face right as Alex came outside. She grinned at the group before running over to Natasha who already had her arms out.
"Alex L/N, you get more gorgeous every time I see you," Natasha gushed as she squeezed the girl. Alex let out a small laugh and Natasha gave her a look before saying, "You do!"
"I bet you don't remember me," Pepper spoke up causing the girl to look over at her. "Not with that business suit on," Natasha joked. Pepper playfully glared at her while Alex walked over.
"Of course I do. Auntie Pepper! You haven't changed at all," Alex said as she hugged Pepper. Pepper smiled warmly and hugged the girl back as she said, "I'm so happy for you, Alex."
When Alex pulled away from Pepper, she was immediately pulled into a hug by Wanda and Y/N. Y/N pretended to fake cry as she said, "Look at my baby, her whole life ahead of her."
Alex chuckled and shook off to two's embrace. "Oh, please. I'm getting married, not joining a convent!" Alex exclaimed before shaking her head at the group and walking over to Peter who had returned from dropping the bags off.
