Chapter Three

Alexa's POV

Today is not the fun day I expected. I have been sitting in English class for the past 45 mins. I wasn't even paying attention.
My mind kept drifting to the kiss I saw Josh and Riley share this morning. To other's it might have been a cute thing to see but it was a dreadful sight for me.

I have always fantasized sharing my first kiss with Josh.
Yeah i'm wild but i'm still a virgin at everything. I bet he isn't anymore, now that he's with Riley.
I might act dumb sometimes but i'm not. I know something happened between them and I know they are dating.

I'm so sad right now. I fight back the tears threatening to fall. I hear the bell ring and I immediately grab my stuffs and walk out of the class.

As I walk towards the cafeteria, I start to feel nervous on how to face them. I take baby steps towards our table and I see them sitting close to each other. My heart clenches in pain. I feel like i'm being stabbed a million times.

I get to our table and take a sit. "Hey" I say dryly. "You okay?" Josh asks me.
I would be if you weren't such a snake
Yes i'm okay, I faked a smile. He looks at me with uncertainty but shrugs it off.

I heard him ask Riley what she wanted to eat and she said fries. He gets up to go get their food. For fucks sake! He didn't even ask if I wanted to eat anything. This is too much!😩

He returns with their food and they began eating. I don't stand up to order but instead I pretend to be pressing my iPhone x. I can feel his burning gaze.

"Are you not gonna eat?" He asks.
"No, i'm not hungry".  "I gotta go, see you later". He glares at me and rolls his eyes. Did he just fucking roll his eyes at me? What the nerve?
I look at Riley and she doesn't seem to notice what's going on or maybe she's ignoring.

Bitch

I stand up from my sit and walk towards the line to order some take out. I can still feel Josh's burning gaze. I get my food, pay for it and stalk toward the door of the cafeteria.
I make a stop and turn back, I looked towards our table and met Josh's eyes.

I blink back the tears and I walk away.

Josh's POV

I'm currently at the cafeteria with Riley when I see Alexa walk in. She looks sad, I wonder if something's bothering her.
She takes her seat and greets us with a sad voice. I asked if she was okay, she hesitated a bit and said she was fine.

I wonder what's going through her mind. I look at her and shrug whatever bad feeling I was having.
I turned to my girl to ask what she wanted to eat and she said fries.
I got up and went to order our food.

I didn't ask Alexa what she wanted because I know she can order her own food. I guess i was mistaken. The look on her face when i returned was that of hurt and she looked like she was gonna cry.
I pretended like i didn't care and Riley and I started eating.

From the corner of my eye, I saw Alexa tapping away on her phone. What is she doing? Is she not having lunch? Now i regret not ordering for her.
I ask her if she wasn't going to eat and she replied that she wasn't hungry.

That's weird...she's always hungry

Then I did something I shouldn't have done. I rolled my eyes. She said she was leaving and from her voice, i knew she was angry. She gets up from her seat and walks towards the line.
I thought she said she wasn't hungry.

I see her order some food and she starts walking towards the cafeteria door. She stops and turns back to look at me. My eyes
I see hurt in her eyes, she wipes her eyes and walks away.

Damn...was she crying? I'm such a jerk. She and I need to talk, i'm worried about her.
I'll go to her house later today.
