Chapter Four

Alexa's POV

Finally! School has ended. I can't wait to get home. All I want to do now is cry in my bed. I know i'm being a drama queen, it's not like Josh and I are dating. But I feel very sad. I have always thought that Josh and I will date someday but I was wrong.

I walk to the school's parking lot  and i immediately get into my car and drive off. I get home fast because of the way i was speeding . I walk into the house with fury and run up to my room as i slam my door.

I kick off my shoes and throw them across the room, i'm gonna have to look for them later. I take off my dress and dump them on the floor. I fall into my bed and start crying.
This was not how i planned my day, i wanted it to be special.  I tug at my hair as i kept crying, more like screaming.

I don't know when i fall asleep. I must have tired myself out. All i need is sleep to to get away from my problems.

Josh's POV

I searched around for Alexa when school ended but I didn't find her. Was she that upset? Usually we all meet at the parking lot to say our goodbyes.

I kiss Riley goodbye as she gets into her car and drives away. I wait for a bit as I ponder on what to do with Alexa. I run my hand through my hair in frustration. Why does she have to make things hard for me?
I get into my car and drive straight to her house.

I drive through their mansion's gate and pack in their drive way. I have always liked coming here since I was a kid. This house has become like a second home to me. Their house is as big as ours, white in colour with a rose garden and a kidney shaped swimming pool. They also have a barbeque spot and their garage is parked with lots of expensive cars.

I knock as the door is opened immediately. Mrs Anderson stands in the doorway. "Hey Angela, how are you doing?".  "Hey son! I'm good" She replies. "Can I see Alexa?" I ask.

"Sure you can, she's been up in her room since she got back. I'm worried about her". Angela steps aside and lets me in. I climb the carpeted spiral staircase and walk towards her room.

I knock on her door but I got no response, I turn the knob and it opens. I walk in and see her sleeping soundly. I look around her beautiful room which I've grown used to. I chuckle to myself as I remember the number of times I've been here and the silly things we have done.

I walk to her bed, and sit while staring at her. I place her head in my lap and stroke her hair. She stirs and she finally wakes up.
She looks up at me and smiles. "Hey" she said. "Hey, where did you run off to after school?" I asked. "I was feeling tired that's why I left" she replied.

"Okay, but we need to talk Alexa" I say as I push a strand of hair behind her ear. She frowns for a bit but nods her head.
"Alexa......Riley and I are dating now". She gets up from my lap with force and i'm scared she'll get a whiplash.

She steps away and glares at me. "Look Alexa, I love Riley so much, you know I have always loved her".
"Whatever feelings you have for me, you have to end it". "You're like my sister and I love you but not that way".

"So? You came here to gloat about your relationship?!!" She shouts. I see her lips quivering as her eyes water.
Omg! she's about to cry. I step closer to comfort her but she puts her hand up to stop me.

"Don't!!! Stay where you are!!!" 
"Why can't you just love me Josh?" "I'm better than Riley, I've known you since we were kids and I have always loved you". "Please don't do this" she says while sobbing.

"Alexa! Stop this nonsense!" I shout back as I watch her flinch at my harsh tone. "You can't force me to like you, I love Riley and that's final!!!"

"Get out!!!! Now!!! I hate you Jerk!!!
Don't ever talk to me!!!" She shouts as she points to the door.
"Alexa calm down" I say.

"Shut the fuck up Josh and get out now!!! Don't ever show your face before me!!!" It hurts hearing those words. I look at her once more but her glare wasn't faltering. I storm out of her room and slam her door shut.

I run down the stairs and almost run Into Angela. "Josh are you okay? I heard all the shouting" she asks with a worried look on her face.
I explain everything to her and for a bit she looked sad. I know she, Jake and my parents want me to date Alexa but they can't force me.

"I'll talk to her" she assures me.
"I know she'll come around". I nod and walk out of their house. I get into my car and clench my fist around the sterling making my knuckles turn white.

Why can't Alexa be happy for me? She knows that I love Riley, she's just being selfish. I'm hurt that she ended our long time friendship but i'm not gonna apologize.

This is her mess. She gotta fix it not me. I'm not gonna give her the pleasure of me apologizing. I don't care anymore, she can do whatever the hell she wants

I glance back at their house and speed away.

Alexa's being a drama queen😅😁
And damn...Josh is pissed😩😅
