Derrick hovered over me, breathing heavily. Underneath him, I tried to block the urge of throwing up in disgust because I wanted him literly out of me. As if he read my mind, he rolled off me and sighed. "I got the blunts for you. They're on the counter," he informed me, reached over to grab his pack of cigarretes and lighting one up.
I stood up from his bed and bent down to grab my underwear and bra. Wrinkling my nose, I knew I smelled like crap. As I was zipping up my zipper from my jeans, Derrick commented, "You've been losing weight, haven't you?"
Another person who noticed. "Yup."
"I like it. It feels better when we're at it than before when you had all that fat on you," he continued, laughing when I shot him a glare. Asshole. I grabbed the blunts off his counter and exited his house, walking home.
I puffed out the smoke, closing my eyes. I was in the middle of smoking when my phone suddenly rang in my pocket. Coughing, I answered, "Hello."
"Hey Miracle," Adam said, sounding happy from the other end.
I coughed. "Um, hey, Adam." I hadn't expected him to call me.
"Are you smoking?!" he asked, concern lacing his voice. Imagine if he knew I've been smoking, drinking, and blowing...
I lied so smoothly I couldn't tell who was talking; the drug or me. "No."
"Oh." Phew.
"So what's up?" I asked casually, kicking a few pepples that I came across.
"Oh nothing, just me thinking about you and how much I miss you," he replied, and I could hear that smile in his voice.
Adam and I went on that date a week ago, it was simple yet it meant alot to me. I learned alot of Adam's life, how his mom and dad died in a car accident and that he was an orphan passed to various foster homes growing up. He didn't finish high school, but the pay he earned at the restraunt he worked good enough to help him pay his rent, food, and gas. We went on alot of dates after that, and I became Adam's girlfriend.
To say he's a sweetheart is not enough, he's so much more.
"I miss you, too," I whispered. Guilt washed over me. I had just slept with a twenty-three-year old man and now I was telling my boyfriend I missed him. Kinda makes me sound like a whore, if you ask me. I was so messed up and it wasn't fair to Adam at all. He deserved so much better, not some sixteen-year-old junkie whore who was practically cheating on him.
"Babe, what's wrong?" Adam asked me, concern lacing his voice.
"What?" I whispered, my voice breaking a little at how he was concerned about me.
"I said that I'll see you tomarrow, but you didn't answer. What's wrong?"
Well, I'm sleeping with this dude so he can give me free drugs behind your back, so I think I'm cheating on you. And I lied to you, because I AM smoking. Weed, to be exact. No. I couldn't tell him that. I couldn't afford to lose the person guy to ever like me, ask me how my day was, give me a puppy for when I was lonely, and care about me. I needed Adam, the way I needed air.
"Nothing's wrong," I choked out then ended the call, feeling so bad that I was being selfish and unfair.
The next day was Thursday, and as I was putting my books in my locker, I turned around to face Heather and her minions. Oh God, she has finally come for payback.
