Evolve or die baby! Evolve or die!

I've never really thought of what happens to my used plastic or really  I've never actually cared what happen to it. This is a tale of how I evolved. It all started in my school assembly.

* Flashback *

I walked into the large hall, quickly fill with students. Once we were all seated and finally calm a blonde women with caring green eyes began to speak.

"Raise your hand if you know what happens to your used plastic." she said. Nobody raised their hand." Raise your hand if you buy plastic daily." This time everyone raised their hand." All that plastic ends up in the streams, rivers, seas and oceans harming animals of all kinds of different species."

She then pressed a button on her remote control she held in her hand and a slide show played pictures of various animals harmed, damaged or injured began to appear the screen. She left some of us to think for the rest of the day. Including me.

* End of flashback *

That was the day my change started. I began to think things like how many animals are hurt daily? How can I help them? How can we stopping using plastic? I was moved about what the mysterious women said and showed. 

A week later those thoughts died down being a typical teenage being so invested with mobile phones and completing school work I went back to caring less about the environment and plastic. However I changed for the better after my experience at the beach.

* Flashback *

  My friends and I were at the beach spending the last days of spring bank in the sun. I was the first in the water while the rest were setting up. I dunked under the water to see the fish as the water was a clear blue but to my surprise three beautiful, multicoloured fish swam past.

Unfortunately they were covered in plastic rings from beer packs and other plastic.I slowly neared the fish and helped them free and made my way back to shore.

From then on I have studied different marine animals and devoted my life to save them and encourage other people to help save them as well. We don't need certain luxuries in life that can destroy the world when there is a substitution that works just the same. so I am going to say the same thing to you that I said to my self

" Evolve or die! "
