P.O.V: Faith
Earlier that trimester...
"Hey, so you're invited to my next party. You better come. It's going to have a DJ, a pool, and an all you can eat desert bar. Hope to see you there."
That was Hazelle—always up for a party. She's surprisingly a good student considering how often she gets drunk.
"Hey are you coming to my party? It's going to be a blast!" Hazelle exclaimed.
"And so I heard." I said. Every party better than the last. It's like she's in a competition... with herself.
"Well doing what I can to make this place a bit more fun. This whole high school thing is so boring."
" I couldn't agree more. But aren't you worried that your parents will find out that you basically used their whole debit card and that there is a party in your backyard?"
"Nah. Parents are going on a business trip with my siblings to 'show them the real world' and 'get us off our phones'. Whatever. I took this trip a few years ago so it should be fine."
"If you say so. But out of curiosity, who's going?"
"Well I know for a fact that Lia, Mason, Miles, Aubree, Levi, Kason, and Erica, are all going. It's nice to see the old elementary gang back together."
"Sounds good. I'll see you at the party and at chem tomorrow. Bye."
I decided to bike the long way home. There was just to much to think about. How can anyone think about partying. Our future depends on how well we do these years. Ugh. I finally reached home.
"Hi Mom. Is everything okay, you seem dead."
"Everything's fine. How was your day at school?" She responded.
"It was good." I walked to the pantry and grab some Chips Ahoy Chunky Cookies and some milk.
"Mom! I'll just be upstairs if you need me!" All I hope is that my sister isn't in my room. When I approach my door I hear something . Here we go.
"Hey! How are you holding up?" Best friend Levi shouts as I enter the door.
"I'm doing fine. Keep your voice down my mom might hear you. And also, how'd you get in here." He points to the window next to my bed. Levi has been my friend since the first year of elementary. I wouldn't survive all these years without him.
"So you ready to work on our science project? It's kind of due next week."
"Shoot you're right, we had the science project. I've been trying to catch up with all my homework I completely forgot about it. I'm sorry. Can we work on it in 30 minutes? I just have to finish this assignment I have in History."
"That's okay. Take your time. In the meantime I'll do my homework and steal a few cookies of yours."P.O.V: Levi
"And she finally finishes her homework." I exclaim.
"I'm sorry that I want good grades."
"Well so do I, so let's start this science project."
We go outside to her front yard and start working. Our first idea was to make a project showing Albert Einsteins theory of gravity. But we then agreed that that was to basic and ended up making a rocket.
"That looks great." I say as I look at the diagram Faith made of our rocket.
"Thanks but I only drew it. You're the one who actually did all the thinking." She says while she smiles.
"Well I should get going, my dad is going to track me down if I don't get home soon. Will I see you at Hazell's party?"
"I guess?"
"That's the spirit! See you tomorrow."
