"You're a really pretty dude."
Sam grinned, though his cheeks tinted pink. "Thanks. I think."
You laughed, mentally facepalming. "No, yeah. That was totally a compliment." Your own face began to heat up. "I didn- mean for that to be the first thing I ever said to you, and well, here we are."
"I think that's a great first impression," he chuckled. "Did you want a picture?"
You grew more sheepish, nodding. "If ut's not too much trouble." You handed your phone to your friend.
Sam's smile didn't falter for a second. "Of course not!" He threw his arm around your shoulders, and you shyly placed your hand on his back.
After your friend had gotten the picture, or rather several because she wanted you to have as much proof of this moment as possible, Sam turned back to you.
"What's your name, by the way?" His hand was still on your shoulder.
"Y/n," you answered, surprised by the question.
He nodded. "Y/n, the master of first impressions. Thanks for coming out here tonight." He glanced back at his brothers who were calling for him. "I guess I gotta go, but it was great meeting you, Y/n." He turned to your friend. "And you too."
Nothing could wipe the smile off your face. "Yeah, of course! Thanks for taking time to talk to us."
He flashed you another smile before turning to catch up with the band.
Pretty short, but I scrapped like 10 ideas before ending up w this one. The opening line is honestly what I feel like I would say to Sam if I met him. I'm that awkward. But anyway, yeah. Request away. M'kay.
