Hannah's POV
This was a serious deal, looking to my boss and Fred I knew that no matter what decision we made it would mess with Abigail in more ways then one. After Ancient Egypt she had thought she had chosen her forever time and was living out the rest of her life with Aro and her children. If only that were the truth.
"Waking her up would cause a total shock to her system." Fred explains to us. "She might not even believe us."
"We have no choice, that bitch of a witch got her file and now she knows where to strike. If we don't wake up Abigail, her past and those of the child she did have with Aro are in true danger." The boss says as she makes her way out into the hall way.
Fred sighed and followed her as did I. In truth I had only ever been to the room I was going to once before. That was when Abigail was put into it. The boss lifted her arm and used a special badge to even allow access into the room. It was freezing and swallowed by a dense fog. Walking through the sleeping agents inside who had done their time for the agency it felt as though I was walking through a graveyard. It killed me to know that Abigail was even in here. The truth of the matter was much worse than what we led Abigail to believe.
"Be ready for one pissed off red head when she does open her eyes." Fred spoke as he went to the computer right beside her bed.
"Has her body full recovered?" the boss questioned Fred.
Typing into the computer, he looked at the screen and nodded.
"Yes, her body is back at 100%, her mind though, I have no read on that." Fred warned us once again.
Looking to my best friend I could see her breathing, she was able to breathe in this cold room. Her skin was still pale burn her fiery locks were still bright and alive. Her eyes were closed gently since she was still in the deep sleep that Fred put her in. I could hear Fred typing the background as I looked down afraid what Abigail may do when she wakes up. Taking a deep breath, Fred presses the red button on his computer and the table beneath Abigail begins to glow a deep red. This was to slowly warm up her body and assist with the waking up process.
"Everyone be ready for anything." The boss says crossing her arms over her chest.
It took about fifteen minutes but then I saw one of Abigail's fingers twitch and not long after that her eyes opened. After blinking a few times, she slowly moved her hand to the right and smiled when she saw me.
"Hannah, what happened? Where am I?" Abigail asks and at first I am hesitant to answer.
"Headquarters. You are in the healing quadrant." I answer her only to be met with a confused look.
"Healing quadrant? I thought I was cleared and allowed to live out the rest of my days in Rome with Aro?" Abigail questioned as she slowly sat up.
"You were too far injured after ancient Egypt to allow me to put you anywhere permanent. Not only was your child's birth hard on your body but your wounds from the past had opened. We allowed the child to remain with Aro, but a situation has arisen that may put her and Aro in danger." The boss spoke up and went to stand beside me and look right at Abigail.
Abigail took a few moments to come to terms but she seemed like she understood everything.
"So it was all a dream, I was in a coma but it seemed like so many years had passed, how many have truly gone by?" Abigail questioned the boss.
"Two, Fred's simulation made it seem longer."
"What of Aro and my child?"
"Both are fine, they are monitored just like you were. However, someone from you past broke in and found out vital information about you and those close to you. Abs, Angelica has escaped, and we think she might be gathering a group of people to take you down for good." I tell her and at first, she just stares at me but then I see the anger come into her eyes.
"I knew I should have killed that witch when I had the chance, where is she now?" Abigail questioned as she cautiously stood from the table and was even able to support herself.
"We got her location from the watch she acquired from one of the guards she seduced. Her location is her old stomping grounds. Salem that is." Fred answered as he led Abigail to the computer.
"Someone needs to stay with Aro and my child, just in case she disappears before I can catch her." Abigail tell us as she goes to where we keep our weapons.
One by one she grabs a gun and makes sure its loaded and then holsters it at her side. She was serious, Angelica had come back to take revenge on the wrong time agent and no matter what she had to do Abigail was going to stop her.
"Ill go to Rome and watch over Aro and the baby, you know I would guard them with my life." I tell Ab's as I walk over to her and put my hand on her shoulder. "You kill that witch and if she dares come near me or your family, I swear I will take her out myself."
Abigail smiles at me and then gives me a big hug. She knew that she could count on me for anything. We were close, and we knew that we would always have one another's backs.
"Thanks Hannah." She tells me as she goes up to Fred and offers him her forearm. "Any shots I need before I go hang me a witch?"
Fred led Abigail into a different room and began to give her the shots that she would need. The boss walked up to the monitor I was staring at. There on the screen before me was Aro holding his little girl in his arms, you could tell from the look in his eyes that he truly missed Abigail. Maybe once this was all over she really would be able to go back and stay with him. The baby was well raised, that was thank to Petra though. She took great care of not only her own children but her brothers only child as well.
"After this...can she go home, for good?" I ask the boss who looks from the monitor to me.
"Yes, this can be her final mission, I'll start the paper work." She replies and then leaves the room.
