Have you ever had one of those days where you wake up and realise what the past or future holds but you're not entirely sure what is going on and because you're thinking of the worst case scenario you get really wound up even know it could be nothing? Well for me, today is one of those days. I feel sick and my mind can hardly focus on anything right now, I don't know whether I am going to be getting a whole lot of unwanted attention today or I'm still, fingers crossed, going to take the roll of Ms Nobody. I would actually be quite surprised if my name is entering any conversations as I can't think of much people would be saying about me because no one cares when the 'un-popular' humans get cheated on. But then I think about what happened in class, hardly any one ever sticks up for themselves against Tina so that might earn me some not so good gossip points. But let's hope not.
As I turn the keys in the ignition, my car zooms to life and as soon as you can say 'I hate school' I arrive at the beginning of a day at hell. As I approached the double doors leading to my misfortune I let out a breath that I've been holding in since I woke up. When I step inside I catch one or two eyes burrowing into my skull but luckily hardly anyone else even notices me. The school bell rings through my ears and I approach my first class. Luckily it is one I don't share with Tina or Mike but I do share it with Troy which might make things a bit awkward. When I enter the room I am a bit shocked to see that most of the class does hush and give me a quick scan before going back to their conversations. I spot Gracie sitting next to the window, probably contemplating what she is going to ask me first, she spots me and motions with her hand for me to come over to her. I do not, as I usually would, oblige straight away as I will likely regret it but since the DNA in my bloodstream tells me to do what I'm told I pace over to the empty, graffiti covered desk next to her and slam my books on it a little too loud and am gifted some stares.
"Have you talked to asshole at all?" She quickly question's.
"Who?" I really don't want to have this conversation.
"Mike of course," she answers using a duh tone.
"No, and ca-"
Before I can finish I'm interrupted by the noise of an impatient teacher clearing their throat, as I look up Ms Jane, the youngest teacher at our school who I'd expect is in her mid-twenties, sends me an annoyed glare while placing her laptop on the teacher's desk at the front of the class.
"What is so important that you had to disrupt my class Ms Colston?" She declares with a questioning tone, the class lets off a giggle and she flicks her hair obviously trying to impress the room full of teenagers with her non-existent 'coolness'. She does it all the time and its quite frustrating because besides the fact that she is more mature, has more power and isn't as bad she acts a lot like Tina. Always humiliating the Geeky kids.
"Nothing Ms!" Gracie responds obviously noticing that I've gone in to my own little thinking bubble but I soon snap out of it due to Gracie nudging me in the side.
"Well if it's more important than my class I would like you to share it with us, unless you would rather get a yellow slip." Is she seriously threatening me with a yellow slip because I was talking in class? How could she be so mean? At our school a yellow slip is basically another word for a detention, the teachers just literally give you a yellow slip that you have to show to the teacher watching over the punished students during lunch time.
"Uh-I-um-uh." I stutter while an embarrassing shade of pink transforms my face.
"That's what I thought." She gives me an evil grin while getting a yellow piece of paper out of her folder, she then clumsily drops it on the floor and while reaching down for it I hear a deep voice speak.
"Oh my god!" Troy says under his breath, obviously just as annoyed at the fact that Ms Jane is really annoying and mean as I am.
"Excuse me?" Ms Jane yells, while glaring at Troy.
