I had been assigned the simple task of getting three more volley balls from the sport storage room so that the class could start an innocent game of dodge ball. The sight that I had come across was horrifying. Lying on the ground next to a bunch of baseball bats and soccer balls was my so called boyfriend tangled up with the school queen bee, Tina Jacobs or otherwise known as the biggest bitch to ever walk the halls of North Pine High. Their lips were sucking the life out of each other and they had their hands all over each other's bodies. When they finally noticed me staring at them with what I hope came across as a shocked and disgusted look on my face their lips tore apart.
I rushed out of there like a hurt gazelle galloping from a lion, note the hurt part. I and Mike had only been together for about two months and we weren't in love and we had only casually kissed a few times but my heart still felt like it had been ripped out. How could he do that to me, and what I didn't understand the most was how she of could done that with Mike. No offence to myself but I definitely wasn't popular, in fact myself and the people who I hang out with, i.e. mike, are basically the schools 'nerds'. She was popular, a gorgeous brunette with a killer figure, why would she ever even look at Mike, little lone make out with him. And with what I just witnessed to go by I wasn't the only one who had been cheated on here. I knew fair and square that Tina had a boyfriend; his name being Troy Anderson, he and Tina made the perfect, cliché, golden couple, the star quarterback and the head cheerleader, they had been together since the start of freshmen year and in high school world being together for over two years straight was very impressive. They were meant to be, or so I thought. As I approached the big double doors leading to the school's multi-purpose indoor stadium slash auditorium I felt tears start to spawn and my eyes became glossy. I spent a few seconds psyching myself not to turn into a human waterfall and just before heading through the doors I quickly turned around to see if Mike had followed me.
He hadn't.
Even know if he had been there I would have told him to get the hell away from me it re-broke my heart knowing that he didn't even care. As I walked in I was in luck as nobody noticed my entrance, I planned to try and walk over to one of my friends without being noticed by the teacher as she would be wanting to know where her volley balls were but thankfully I had taken a while so they had just made use of the balls they already had and started playing the game. I sucked at sports so I tried my best to stay as far away from the front as I could. One of my best friends Ashley or more commonly known as Ash had the same idea. Me and Ash have similar personalities but our looks are complete opposite, she has glasses, and instead of having long blonde hair as I do she has long black hair, her skin is an amazing olive colour and her eyes are the same blue colour as the ocean. I walked over to the very back left corner of the Stadium and was greeted by a worried Ash that new something was up. I managed to tell her what had happened and she had given me some advice to help me last through the rest of the day, she also made it very clear that she thought I should tell Troy exactly what happened. I agreed to if Tina didn't in the next week or so, I was hoping to god that she did because even know Troy seemed like a reasonable guy and he had never given me or any of my friends trouble his friends certainly had and he would still probably look down on me for being a geek. The bell for lunch rang and after me and Ash got changed and shoved our sport gear into our bags we made our way to the cafeteria. Unfortunately would be an understatement for what we witnessed on the way, Ash had seen through a crack in the door of one of the class rooms that Mike and Tina were inside, luckily just talking and both fully dressed. At first you can imagine I wanted to sprint away at the sight of them but Ash had made us stand casually next to the door and listen to what they were saying and even know it sucked I was kind of glad I obeyed Ash's commands, but at the same time not really. Since we were competing with the buzz of student's conversations we only managed to catch some sentences, they made my day even worse. Mike had basically said that I was just a scared teacher's pet that wouldn't tell a soul about what I witnessed and Tina had stated that if anyone found out, especially Troy the 'deal' was off, I couldn't help but wonder what on earth the 'deal' was. So in a nut shell, Ash had made me promise to go over to Troy's house this afternoon and tell him everything or else she would tell Gracie what had happened. Now Gracie was definitely not a nerd, she was your typical rebellious, emo chick, she had wavy brown hair that was coloured with purple streaks and had tanned skin that matched her brown eyes. Due to being the new kid at our school about a year back and us being the only people at the school to welcome her she was now a part of our small group. She had the capability of being quite popular but fortunately she didn't care about popularity and she had stuck with us. If she knew what happened she would probably rip Tina's hair out and punch Mike in the face along with dramatically exaggerating every detail of what happened to Troy so that Mike and Tina would be punished even more. So I agreed to visit Troy this afternoon along with some not so pleasant news.
