Gion's Backstory (Prince Series Untold)

Meet Livio

"Gion, let's play football after school!"

"Never mind, I have something else to do."

When Gion walk out from the school, the driver already arrive to pick him up.

"Good evening, your highness." the driver open the door for him. He smile at the driver and reply with a smooth voice, "Thank you, but I'hd already told you that I can open it by myself."

"This is part of my job, so please let me do it." the driver smiled at him back. Gion go into the car and the driver quickly start the engine.

At home, Gion go straight to his room. This is part of his routine after school; go home, take a bath, finish his homework and go to 3 additional class. Sometimes he didn't have time to rest even 1 minute in between any two activities. It's all because of his grandfather. Since he's the oldest between him and Gina, he get extra attention on his study because he will be the next heir. Plus, he's from the royalty family in Italy so no wonder he get extra attention.

His mother died after she gave a birth to Gina. After that, only his father and grandfather left. They really hope that Gion will be the best leader for the country so sometimes his grandfather will be super strict about all aspects.

Well, even though Gion always get all attention, it doesn't mean that Gina didn't get the same thing. They also pay attention to Gina, but not strict with her. She is like a gold for them, so they never let Gina play outside house to prevent any bad incidents. Because of the loneliness, Gina always goes to Gion room to invite him to play with her. Gion never choose to reject her request since he didn't have any friend other than Gina.

While Gion do some revision on his desk, someone knock the door.

"Can I come in?" It was Gina.

Gion shock and stare at his room. "W... Wait for a minute!" Gion quickly clean up his room which has many book scattered on the floor. After he finish tidy up everything, he opened the door. "Come in,"

"Do you have some free time? I want you to teach me Mathematics." Said Gina. She hand in her homework to him. He smiled at her and reply, "I am free right now. Which part you want to ask?"

While Gion shows Gina the working, she asked him. "Now you looks so busy than before. Did grandpa add another tuition in your schedule?"

"No, of course not! If he did, you will be the first person to know, of course!"

"I know I should focus on study also, but can't I get some free time to play with friends like the other kids?" her face change from happy to sad. For 9 years old like her it's not weird for her to ask like that. She did ask the same thing to her father, but king refused to answer it.

Gion touch her face gently and look into her face. Gina stared at him, ang then continued speak, "I also deserve the same thing like the other kids. I want to hang out with my friends, join coo curriculum and school camping. But I know if I ask daddy, he will not answered."

"Our father really cares about our safety. We'll always save in here." said Gion.

They spent almost 30 minutes at Gion's room. At first they're really studying, but then they chatting after done her homework. While they enjoying the chat, his grandfather comes in.

"Looks like both of you are enjoying talking about something." both of them keep silent.

"Gion, I have something to show you." his grandfather pull someone go into the room to introduce himself.

"Good evening, prince Gion. My name is Livio Thomachot and starting from today I'll be your personal bodyguard." Livio introduced himself to Gion and Gina. They kinda weird how come kids can already work as a bodyguard.

"For you it's not logic to see 12 years old kid already work as personal bodyguard, but this is it. He needs to work with his father or he will be send to the orphanage house. Livio, I hope you take a very good care to prince Gion." said his grandfather. Livio bow to him as he said,"I will,"

After his grandfather walks away, Gina be the first person to ask Livio and not Gion. "How come you are accepted to be Gion's personal bodyguard?"

"Like what former king said earlier, I need to work to if I want to stay here with my father or I will be send to the orphanage house." answered Livio. Gina start to be interest to know more. "How old are you?"

"I'm 12 years old. You are 9 years old, right?" Livio ask back to Gina.

"Yes! This year I'm 9 years old. My brother is 2 years older than me." Livio look at Gion. Gion looks like have something to ask but he can't. Because of that, Livio ask Gion, "I saw you always looked at me from the start. Do you have something to ask?"

"Sorry if it's bother you that much. I... just curious to know something but I worry it makes you feel uncomfortable." said Gion.

"Don't worry, prince Gion! I'll try my best to answer all your questions. What is it?"

"Can I know where's your mother? Why you need to be send to the orphanage house if your father work here?" Finally he asked. Livio didn't show any shock reaction, but he smiled instead.

"My mother died because of unknown illness. My father worked as labor before so he didn't have enough money to sent mother to hospital. After that, father tried his luck to be a butler in here. The king give a term to my father which is he need to stay here. He ask if I can stay here with my father. At first, former king didn't aloud because he don't want me to bother him at work. But then father said I can also work here since I didn't go to school. King refused his request because I still a kid and it will be cruel to take kid to work and never go to school. At last, former king said they will give a full scholarship to my study and give permission to stay here if I be your personal bodyguard." said Livio. Gina and Gion didn't have any word to say, they shock and feel pity at Livio's family. During this time, they are always life in luxury while there are some people living in poor environment.

"Well... Looks like we have new friend!" said Gina. She tried to not let the awkwardness environment make Livio feel even worse.

"Oh yes! After this we didn't feel too bored when play! Welcome to our family, Livio!" They hug each other, like they're already be a best friend.
