His Death

The holiday is over, yet Momosu Academy is still close due to construction and because of that, students get extra holiday. Some of them drop out from the academy because they did not want to wait any longer for . As the result, principal faced a very severe losses and there's a high probability that the school need to close. All Princes feel worried about the future. They might drop out from the academy also. If they aren't, they also will stop study in there due to the closure of the academy.

While they try to find some idea on how to save the school, Gion busy with something. Since yesterday night, he tried to call Anubis but what he got was voicemail. Until in the afternoon, finally Anubis answered his call.

"Looks like you can't even take a break." said Anubis resignedly.

"First of all, why you didn't tell me about that explosion? Secondly, did you already guess that I'll save Ciel?I know you wants the academy to get a loss, but is it necessaryto use a rough way? Lastly, you're acting weird lately. You kept took a move alone and didn't ask my opinion like always. Did you wants to stop collaborate and do everything alone?" Gion firmly asked those questions to him, but what he heard was a laugh.

"Looks like someone curse my brother. For me you are the one who's acting weird lately. I can't see you as the real Gion anymore, just like this one. You saved that France sissy even though I already told you to leave him. You also saved the others too even though you knew that our plan will be more easier if you let they in trouble. Because of that, my marrow think that I should leave you too and continue my plan." said him. Before Gion replied anything, Anubis ended the call.

After what he heard, he sat in the couch and thinking. What Anubis said was right. He changes alot lately. He can't think straight when it comes to the Princes sometimes. To be honest, he really wants to stop pretending. He always lost alot of friends and trusts from people around him. He tired to take all blames and accusations from the Princes. Yes, he's good at manipulative people. But maybe everyone forget that he also a human being, that means he also has a hope and his hope is he wants a happy ending, at least from this 'cage' he created.

Suddenly, Livio came from behind and asked him, "Prince Gion, the former king wants you to go to his bedroom." Gion shocked. Usually the former king will meet him by himself, so it feels weird for Gion. But then he didn't asked anything and go straight to his grandfather's bedroom.

When he arrived, he saw three attendants standing beside door. One of them carry a tray with a teapot, a cup of water and a pack of medicine. His father sit at the left side of the bed. His grandfather is lying down on his bed. Gion actually know that his grandfather was sick, but he never enter his room nor talk to him. When he looked at his grandfather, he don't know what to do. The person who was once a strict king now is lying down on his bed helplessly. Without further ado, Gion walked towards him and stood there. After that Gina entered the room.

"Il nonno? (Grandfather?)" said her. She shocked to see his grandfather lying in there and didn't give any response. Gina walked there and hold Gion's hand.

"Can I talk with my grandchildren alone?" asked the former king. After hearing that, everyone except Gion and Gina walked away and closed the door, leaving them together.

"Gina, my sweet grandchild. Why you look so sad?" asked him. The former king tried to smiles even though he's too tired todo anything.

"Grandpa, you never look really ill like this." answered Gina.

The former king tried to reach his grandchild's hand. When Gina realized that, she let go Gion's hand and hold her grandfather's hand instead. Even though the former king always strict especially with Gion, but he treats Gina really good like his own daughter.

"I never feel tired to see your face. You always remind me of your mother. Your kindness, your beauty, your voice... Every part of yours looks perfect in my eyes. I could never forget those characteristics of you. If your mother is here right now, she will give the same love just like how I love you." said him as he really weak to said any words. Gion only stood there and looked at them having their time together. Deep in his heart, he really wants the same treat as Gina. But what he get instead was anger and strict treat. His grandfather firmly talked to him about everything, especially about his education. Because of that, he has a bad impression about his grandfather.

While Gion still watching them and didn't say anything, Gina asked him, "Do you want to say something, brother?" Gion startled when Gina suddenly called him. He didn't have anything to say, but he still walked in front and looked at his grandfather. His grandfather then closed his eyes, refused to see him.

"Gina, can you go out first " asked the former king. Gina nodded and went outside.

They still didn't say anything. Gion stood there like a stone, glares at his grandfather like a cold-blooded person while his grandfather still closed his eyes, but there's still no signs of death. Suddenly, his grandfather holds his hand, making Gion shocked with his sudden action.

"The weak are the prey to the strong, and kindness is not something need to show. This is how today's world looks like. It's not like a fairy tale where kindness always the strongest. Rulers nowadays will be willing to be cruel or villain to the other countries just to be the strongest. Once all countries feel frightened ti their country, they automatically be the strongest heir in people's mind. I teach this since you were kid so that you could be the best heir. I know sometimes you hate this concept, but this is reality. I didn't mean to hate your real self, but I just wants you to see the reality of the world. Be the best heir and don't..." suddenly he coughing. Gion want to take a water for him, but then his grandfather stopped him."Don't repeat my mistakes." he continued.

After that, he didn't show any movement. His hand slipped from Gion's hand. Gion completely shocked, for some reason his brain could not process what is happening right now.
