Chapter 1

[ this story takes place on earth, at a school for both aliens and humans ]

~Katie's Pov~
It was less than a month until the night of homecoming. All if the other paladins had dates. ( My friend group was known as the palidins ) Lance is going with Allura. Shiro's going with his boyfriend Adam. Hunk and Keith are going with their girlfriends, Shay and Claire. Then there was me. Matt offered to stay home with me, I told him if I don't go then I would love to stay home with him.

"I'm the only single paladin." I complained to Hunk as we walked around the park in the middle of town. "No one asked you to Homecoming?" He asked. I shook my head no.  He looked down. "You can come with me and Shay. Shay loves hanging out with you." He added. I shook my head. " I don't want to ruin your night.  I'm just gonna stay home with Matt and play the new call of duty. It's supposed to be awesome." I replied, trying to reassure him that I'll be fine.  Hunk nodded. " If you change your mind, tell me. Ok?'

~at Keith's house 30 mins later~
Hunk and Keith were talking about getting matching suits. I laughed. They were so close now. The two used to never talk to each other. Now they're planning on matching and going to Homecoming as a double date.
~Ding~
I got a text message. I checked it. It was from Shiro.

Shiro: Pidge. Did he ask you?

Pidge: no. He didn't.

Shiro:  what?! Why?

  Pidge: because he's dating Allura

Shiro: oh. I'm so sorry Pidge. Lance doesn't know what he's missing.

  Pidge: yeah your right. Thx Shiro.

Shiro: your welcome pidgeon💜

I turned off my phone. Why did I ever tell Lance liked him. He would obviously like Allura, come on. She is a bad girl with an looks. Plus she is a senior. Everyone was after her. And I was a short, nerdy, nobody who's first friend was her brother Matthew, the president of the space club "Voltron". When I found the Voltron space club I was in love with it. I made friends. And I met Lance. Lance was a popular boy. Allura was a space princess who came to Earth with her  awesome royal advisor Coran. Hunk was a local who had a huge heart. Keith was the emo kid who hated Lance and was friends with Shiro, the "space dad". All honesty we all had nicknames for each other. Lance was lover boy, Allura was the Space mom. Hunk was the cinnamon ( idk how to spell ok?!) roll, Keith the space emo, and I was the space pidgeon or just pidgeon. We were best friends. But when Allura became a junior she changed. Got into a lot of trouble, hung out with the Galrans. She changed. More and more people joined the club like Claire and Shay. Matt sooner or later people started dating. And I was all alone. They had date nights. And I was alone, in my room playing video games and doing homework. So when I realized i liked Lance, I told him. But he told me he was already dating Allura. It crushed me. But I just smiled and supported them. They are my friends so I had to be happy for them.

{Hehe. See what I did there?!  With the Voltron club and stuff you know. ok ....And I'm changing some of the characters personalities and style of clothing. So pls don't hate or comment saying that I'm messing up characters. I'm changing them to fit the story}
