Have you ever wondered how many times you actually fell in love from the time you were born? I mean all of us had that moment in life where eventhough we told everyone 'love does not exist, it's all just in movies' we still had special feelings for at least that one special person. I guess in real life, love is not how it's portrayed as in movies. Movies just make it all seem so easy and as though we would just be able to tell whose made for us, just at first site. Well I say at first site we worry more about looks than we do about personality and that has been scientificly proven. The term 'love at first site' comes from 'love at first look' which means we dont actually worry about the personality but we feel attracted to the person because of their good looks and think we truly love them. So that can't be true love?
In this generation teenagers have more boyfriends than they have friends. All for what? To find someone who would love them and they would be able to love that person back. They intend to think if one relationship does not work out than another one will, just hoping to get that special feeling of love for that one person, as they show in movies. However, just because a relationship does not workout, it does not mean there was no love there. They just become extremely mad at eachother and decide to break up and then what happens next? They're in another relationship. The sad thing is, most only look at the looks, rather then the personality. For love to exist and to be special, people have to learn to be more patient and not rush into relationships. This story is about a girl who learns that looks don't matter if the love between the two is real.
Have you ever had a crush on someone, who in fact you don't really know anything about? Just because it's a crush does that mean, you don't 'love' them or is it just that you're attracted to their looks and you just seem to have misunderstood the concept of love. We always intend to think of our crush as being just a crush but maybe the feelings are more than that, but does that mean it's love? In fact when we have our first crush we do end up thinking that they are the one made for us. The one that we love but maybe that's just not how it's all meant to be. And then out of nowhere you just don't know when, but someone else suddenly sparks up your life, who has always been there but you actually never found them as potentially being the person who you would want to spend your life with.
This story follows the life of a 16 year old, Muslim, girl named Afreen and her crush on Atif, who recently moves into her school, and her relationship with her best friend Hussain. This story also includes 5 years leap. Then a 60 years leap.
This will be written in first person so that the real emotions of Afreens character can be shown.
Will she overcome her attraction for Atif, or fall in love with Hussain for his personality? Who will be 'The One' for her?
