"I remember the day you told me you were leaving," I sing into the crowd as I feel a tear escape my eye.
~~~~~~1 YEAR AGO~~~~~~
"Calum hurry up we're gonna miss the movie!"
"Ana just get in the car we'll leave in a minute," he yells back to me.
I finish brushing my hair then grab the keys. I unlock the car, get in and turn on the radio. I swear he takes longer than I do to get dressed.He opened the passenger door and got in fixing his shirt frantically and saying, "how do I look?"
"Lovely princess, just lovely." I laugh a little at my comment before starting the car and driving to the cinema.
"There's only one princess here and it's you, you're my little princess."
"I am not little!"
"Sure, sure just park already."
After I park we get out of the car, hand and hand, and walk to the entrance. Calum gets us our movie tickets and snacks then we go to the screening room. We take our seats and wait for the movie to start. After the movie ends we walk back to the car with little conversations about the movie.
"What do you wanna do now?" I look at him waiting for an answer before starting the car.
"Let's go to the park!" His face lighting up like Christmas lights as he spoke.
When we get to the park there aren't many people there so it isn't hectic. After all he is getting more and more famous every day because of his band. I'm happy he's happy about it but I wish he had more time to spend with me, as selfish as it sounds it's true. I park the car and we get out and run towards the fountain.
"You remember where we met Ana?"
I could tell he was smiling even though we weren't facing each other, I smiled too. "I remember meeting this really sweet boy two years ago here. He caught me when I was about to fall because I tripped on my dress, I still meet him here sometimes."
"Do you remember his name at all?" Calum's smile grew into a smirk when he asked.
"Yeah his name is Luke," I couldn't help but laugh as I said that while Calum's face went flat. Before I knew I was pushed into the fountain and now I wasn't the one laughing.
"Calum!" I scream at him as I get up.
"Yes princess?" He was still laughing while I stepped out and chased after him.
"Take me home now!" I throw the keys at him and we get into the car.
"Fine but get in the back you're all wet," he says laughing a little more.
I do as he says because the faster we leave the faster I can get dry clothes. In the car I put my hair up in a bun so I don't have to deal with wet hair sticking to my neck. Once we get to Calum's house I put on one of his shirts and his fuzzy sweatpants. I walk out of the bathroom, now changed, to see that Calum has set up netflix and made us lunch. I take a plate, sit down, and thank him before getting comfy under the blankets.
"So," Calum says scratching the back of his neck.
"So," I say back.
"Well our three years is coming up in a couple of weeks, Anna, and I wanted to take you somewhere special. Not just anywhere special but very special, it's gonna be a big night." I can tell he's nervous, very nervous, he won't even look at me.
"I'll go anywhere you want me to," I say smiling.
He turns to look at me and smiles back. I wake up everyday knowing I can create that smile and that's what gets me through the day sometimes. I don't know where I would be without him, he's been such an impact in my life over the last three years and I am so lucky to have him. When people say that someone can change everything in a couple words they mean it. My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of my phone ringing. I slide my finger across and put it to my ear. My mum speaks clearly through the phone, her voice uneasy as she tells me my letter arrived. My letter has finally arrived, it has finally arrived.
