Part Three: James' P.O.V.

"Common" I yell to Alec, my adoptive cousin. He is taking me to Florida so I can met my Birth Father and one of my best friends, or, really, half-sister, Kate. We are also going to go and met Kate and I's birth father while Alec and I are there. Kate and I never know we were or are brother and sister until now. Everything is going to change now. Kate is an amazing girl and I've always seen her as a little sister. This is weird however because she really is my half sister and she is six days older then me. This is just a weird turn of events for everyone. She was always one of my best friends but now she's my half-sister. I start to hear Alec come down the steps and I look over at him while he grabs his coat

"Ready" he says and he is smiling. Our whole group of friends, that we play video games with, all know that he likes Kate. He really likes Kate to. He has only ever talked to her though which is a good thing. I have seen her before and she is a beautiful young girl. I hope Alec thinks that same of her. She's going to flip when she sees him

"Let's go then" I respond and we walk out the door of my adoptive parent's house. It's almost a 9 hour drive from where I am (South Carolina) to where they are (Fort Myers, Florida). I think Alex said it's like 8 hours and 53 minutes. It's currently around 1:00 A.M., we wanted to leave early so that we can just go when we get there. It takes another 2 and a half hours to get from Kate's house to our birth father's house. I feel bad for Alec because he is the one who has to drive us all that way. Not to mention he has to drive back to Kate's house after we met our birth father

"What does Kate even look like?" Alec asks me

"You'll have to wait and find out" I respond. He starts to back out of the drive way and then he looks down at his phone to see which way it is

"I want to know what she looks like" He says

"Why? So when we get there you don't drool over her?" I ask. He looks over at me for a second and then continues to drive "You're going to have to do that because I'm not telling you anything about how she looks at all" I say and he sighs. I know Alec really does like her just for her personality because of the way he is when he talks to her. I always feel bad for her because her past boyfriends would just use her and it's messed up. Like her last boyfriend. I thought he would be good for her but he was another ass hole just like all of the others. I really hope that she broke up with him since she moved away. She doesn't need that in her life

"We're going to stop for gas" Alec says as we pull into a gas station

"Okay" I respond and we get the gas. When we're done, Alex is driving while I continue to think about everything that has happened and everything that might happen when Kate and I met our birth father. I, apparently, have 3 full siblings and then Kate as a half-sister. I wonder what my 3 older siblings are going to be like when I met then when we get there. I mean, I already knew Kate from our video games so it's not going to be as weird as everyone else that I am going to met. However, she could be 100% different in real life. I hope she is just as nice in person as she is on video games "DO you think Kate will be just as nice in person as she is on video games?" I ask Alec

"You're over thinking it, James. Why don't you try and get some sleep" Alec responds glancing over at me and then back at the road. I nod my head and then close my eyes. I can't wait to met Kate

"James, wake up. We're here" Someone says shaking me awake. I open my eyes and see someone to my right outside the car door. It's Kate. I notice she has someone next to her when I get up and open my door

"Hey Kate" I say

"Hi James" she responds and she's not really looking at me, she's looking behind me. I turn around and see Alec is behind me. She seems to be a little shocked or something

"What's wrong?" I ask trying to hold back a smirk. I know that they're already falling for each other even though they have barely seen each other. We haven't even been here for a good 2 minutes

"What? Oh, nothing" She responds

"Are you sure" The boy next to her asks with a smirk on his face "Hey, I'm Nick" he says to me extending his hand out to me in order for him and I to shake hands

"Hello, I'm James" I respond shaking his hand back "He's really hot" I think

"You're thinking out loud again, James" Alec says from behind me

"You're not bad looking yourself" Nick says and now I know I am blushing

"Alright love birds, let's get going. Oh, and by the way, James, Kate is sitting in the front" Alec says

"Okay" we both respond

Once we get into the car and on our way, Kate says she is hungry. I have an idea now

"I'll go into somewhere close and get food if you two want to stay in the car" I suggest knowing that if I leave them in the car alone together they will most likely start dating. I look around "Stop there" I say looking over at a fast food chain "I'll be back" I say and walk into the place. I really hope this works
