Wicked Game

Chapter 2

„This is actually going to be interesting to watch." Mike states.

Donna and Harvey just told them about their little „plan" or however you wanna call it.

„Yeah, let's just hope it doesn't ruin their friendship." Rachel whispers in response.

„Come on, Rach. It would ruin their friendship one day anyway. You can't seriously tell me that these two don't have feelings for one another." Mike replies.

„I am not saying that. I..just think they are great together, as a couple or as friends, and I just don't want them to lose that..you know?" Rachel explains quietly, looking her boyfriend in the eyes.

Mike nods. He hopes so, too.

Mike and Harvey have been best budds for a few years and are now studying law at Harvard University together. There they met Rachel, who Mike instantly fell in love with. Not that he would admit it to her, but everyone else knew it. They became a couple and Rachel moved into the boys' apartment. Donna, a friend of Rachel, was also looking for a place to stay at back then, and since they had another spare room, she moved in shortly after. They all are really close and get along pretty well, but Harvey and Donna always shared a special bond, that most people don't quite understand.

„Did you see their judging looks?" Donna asks, as soon as they left the apartment.

Harvey nods.

„Like they are any better. Didn't Mike just dated Lucie to make Rachel a little jealous?" Harvey adds and laughs at the memory.

He loves how happy the two of them are together, but sometimes he just can't help but laugh at their logic.

„Yeah right.." Donna replies and looks at him, with a big grin on her face.

He gives her a smile and they link arms.

Donnas' theatre group always goes out and celebrates when their play was successful, so Harvey and Donna are on their way to meet with them. Dany is probably going to be there with Scottie, so Harvey is her date for the evening.

When they arrive at the bar, the others are already sitting in three different booths in one of the quieter areas.

„Donna, hey!!" Anna, a good friend of Donna, greets her and winks her over to her booth.

„Hey An." Donna says and hugs her longtime friend.

„And who is this?" Jack, one of the people sitting at Annas' table, asks.

„I am Harvey Specter." Harvey introduces himself, while they slip into the booth.

„I didn't know you have a boyfriend Don?! You need to tell us everything." Anna exclaims, obviously excited and already a little drunk.

„Well, we haven't be together that long. Actually, we just became a couple yesterday." Harvey clarifies, with his hand resting on Donna's leg.

It's warm and gives her an unknown comfort.

„Ahh I knew there had to be a guy behind your recent happiness!" Anna replies.

Donna blushes.

„So?" Harvey says, turning his head to Donna, playfully raising his eyebrow.

Donna just rolls her eyes, but smiles right after.

Pretending to be a couple, weirdly, didn't feel weird at all.

„Guys, listen up!" Daniel, the director, speaks up, „I don't wanna beat around the bush, so I am gonna make this quick: our most recent show was a huge success, so we all deserve to celebrate a little. I love you guys. To more successful plays! Cheers!"

„Cheers!" the crowd screams and they all take a sip from their beers.

„So tell us, how did you two got together? I wanna know everything!!" Anna exclaims and gives them an expecting look.

„You are such an hopeless romantic." Jack comments and laughs.

Anna rolls with her eyes.

„There is no shame in that." Harvey says, what causes Donna to look at him in surprise.

She knew he could be romantic, if he wanted to be, but she was still surprised.

„Don, he's a keeper. Seriously! Now, tell me the story..!!" Anna replies, not able to hide her excitement and happiness for her friend.

He is.

„Okay, okay. So, yesterday evening, I had just found out that Donna had been in love with me for quiet some time, and since I felt the same way, I invited her for dinner and a walk in the park after that. There I asked her to be my girlfriend." Harvey says, without any sigh of disbelief.

Wow, he is good.

For the second time that day, Donna looks at him in surprise and gives him a quick kiss on the cheek. She's grateful that she doesn't have to be the one lying to her friends. He understands it and gives her a smile.

„That sounds so great! I am so happy for the two of you, seriously!" Anna replies, with a big grin on her face.

A little later, Dany shows up with his arms around Scottie. Donna probably wouldn't even have noticed it, because she was so caught up in her discussion with Anna, but Harvey's hand tensed a little on her leg.

She understood it instantly.

„Look, who's finally joining us!" Jack shouts and Dany and Scottie come over to their booth.

„Hey Dan!" the others greet him.

„Hey guys, this is Scottie...and Scottie this is Anna, Jack, Jeremy, Donna and..I don't know who this guy is actually." Dany says and gives Harvey an apologizing look.

„That's okay, we already know each other. It's Harvey Specter. We are studying law together." Scottie murmurs, before turning to the others with a light smile.

A second later, Harvey could feel Donna coming closer, resting her hand on his cheek, forcing him to look her into the eyes. She gives him a short kiss on the lips, before resting her head on his shoulders.

This feels good.

„Guys we get it, you are still on cloud seven, but it's enough with the kissing now!" Jeremy exclaims and laughs.

Donna blushes, again. And Harvey just laughs it off.

Have they really been kissing so much?

„Why don't you guys join us?" Jack asks Scottie and Dany.

„Yeah sure, why not." Dany agrees and they sit down.

Scottie sits down next to Anna, across from Donna and Harvey, and Dany right next to Harvey.

The rest of the evening passes quiet uneventful. Donna and Harvey were the couple of the evening and didn't let a chance go by to make Scottie jealous.
