Clem's POV

I walked two paces behind Louis, respecting his odd mood. He hadn't spoken to me since the incident in the lake and I wasn't sure how to approach him so I kicked little pebbles towards the backs of his ankles.

I heard him sigh and he slowed his pace to walk alongside me.

"So-"

"I-"

I motioned for him to speak first and he nodded and cleared his throat.

"I'm sorry Clementine. I honestly just over-reacted."

"It's okay Louis and I'm sorry too. I understand why you acted like that and I wont act like that again."

He moved his hand to rub the back of his neck.

"Never? I mean it felt great..."

I blushed at the thought of doing that again. "Well-uh-I-"

"I'm just playing with you Clem." He laughed and nudged my shoulder and I raised my hands to cover my bright red face.

I instantly felt relieved and happier after talking about it with him. I was glad it didn't become a big issue between us or cause our blossoming relationship to halt.

We walked for a while, about everything and nothing, until we came upon an overgrown house that sort of resembled a cottage.

"Is this the greenhouse?"

"Yepperoo."

"What?" I looked at him oddly.

"I mea-yeah this is it."

We stalked towards it cautiously, in case any walkers were nearby. I pulled my knife out of the side of my pants and Louis picked up a discarded piece of an iron pipe. We held our weapons at the ready and split up and searched both sides of the building.

I heard a low groaning sound and instantly recognized it. It couldn't be from outside so I stepped closer to the building and checked the windows. I wasn't seeing anything until I came to a green stained one that was severely broken.

I stepped closer to have a better look when an arm shot out and grabbed my neck. The force of the walker struggling to get me broke the window and I stumbled back, tripping over a rock and I landed on my back harshly. The walker was on top of me, gnashing it's teeth and spilling it's unidentifiable bodily fluids all over me. I had my hand at its chest and was struggling to get it off while simultaneously trying to not get bitten.

My knife had flown a few yards away from me in the impact and I wondered if this was how I was going die. Suddenly, the walker's head was knocked right off and I automatically pushed it's gross body off of me. I looked up and Louis was dealing with another two that seemingly appeared out of nowhere. He bashed their heads in and came over to me, where I was panting and sweating.

"Are you alright!?"

I got up and quickly searched my body.

"No bites."

As soon as I had said those words he pulled me in tightly.

"The walkers didn't get me this time but you might." I said jokingly. As I said that he only latched on tighter, cutting off my circulation completely and he obviously wasn't getting the hint.

"I. Can't. Breathe."

He finally let go and I gasped dramatically. Purposefully sucking air in and out to tease him. He rolled his eyes and I stopped. He had this weird look on his face as he was staring down at me and my heart skipped a beat.
