Previously:
As the last bell rung, the happy smile was plastered on my face all the way home and through my homework.
Now:
I heard a light tapping on my window and ran over to open it, excited to tell Chat the good news. "Hi, Chat! Come in, hurry up." I said, bouncing from the excitement.
Chat's POV:
I looked at Marinette and saw her bouncing on her toes. She seemed incredibly excited to tell me something so I tried to be quick and jumped through the windowsill. As soon as I was inside, she wrapped me in a tight, bone-crushing hug and squealed in excitement. I winced at my sensitive cat hearing and said: "Princess, I need to breathe."
She looked up at me and then quickly let go, stepping back and red in embarrassment. "Sorry, Kitty. I'm just so happy right now!" She said, once again bouncing on the balls of her feet. I chuckled. God, she looks adorable right now I thought. "I'm guessing you had a good day then Purrincess." I said.
She just nodded her head enthusiastically, skipping the usual eye roll that came whenever I made a pun. "So, I have to tell you what happened." She said, dragging me over to her chaise. We sat down and then she started.
"So, it was the last class of the day and Chloe was giving her usual comments of how I was trash and ugly." I took a sharp breath and looked at her in concern. Does she always say those things about Marinette? "So I was ignoring her as always and then she brings you into the conversation. She started saying how you were just a worthless sidekick and Ladybug we be better without you. It made my blood boil because I have seen so many times where both Ladybug and Chloe have been saved by you and I couldn't stand to hear what she was saying after everything you have done for her, Ladybug, Paris, and especially me. I snapped at her and I thought I went too far which I probably did so I immediately started apologizing, wanting to prevent an Akuma and also I felt horrible but then she apologized and now we are friends! I even have her number and we started texting. I never knew how much fun she could be when she wasn't being mean." Marinette said, using hand gestures as she talked.
I looked at her, stunned at how much she could change someone. I felt my heart swell and knew I was just falling in love with her more. "You're amazing Princess, you know that?" I said. I pulled her over and kissed her, my heart pounding in my ears. We broke apart and she smiled a dazzling smile. My breath hitched and I leaned in for another kiss.
BOOM!!
I groaned. Marinette giggled and I stood. "I'll come back over after the fight okay?" I said, pulling out my baton to get ready. She nodded and I left through the window.
Marinette's POV:
As soon as Chat left, Tikki flew out. "And just when I thought we had made progress. I guess we should probably join the Kitty huh?" I said. Tikki giggled and I said "Tikki, spots on!" I swung out of the window and landed next to Chat in the middle of the road.
"I want to get this over with." He said. "Oh, and why would that be?" I said, wondering what Chat had to do that was all so important after. "Well, I was just visiting my amazing girlfriend and this interrupted my visit majorly." He huffed, making a swift attack at the Akuma.
I almost tripped when he said that, surprised that he considered me that important. "Well, I was also just busy so I guess we both have motivation." I said. What he doesn't know that he's my motivation I thought, making a quick dodge of one of the Akuma's blasts.
